Sony sequel galore cont’d

Going Commando

Ratchet & Clank is another “safe sequel” game coming from Sony. Developer Insomniac is back for this one; they were the ones behind Spyro the Dragon and are quite used to the sequel concept.

Part of the fun from the first R&C game was all those whacky weapons. I mean, who doesn’t love the Morph-o-Ray that zaps everyone into chickens?! Insomniac has built 20 new weapons for the sequel, with only 5 making a return from the first game. The weapons in the game will also feature an upgrade system, where your guns will improve the more you use them.

Those just wanting more Ratchet & Clank (especially more Clank) will be pleased to know that this game is 1.5 times larger than its predecessor with 20 levels total. Ratchet & Clank 2 promises to be a more challenging game as well. The developer told us that the difficulty level from the last stage of the first game is now reached at level 5 in the sequel.

Clank was one of the stand-out characters in the first game. It was a pity that there wasn’t more of him, but the developer has heard your cries and this time Clank will have plenty more things to do.

Look for Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando this November – marking the 1 year anniversary of the first game’s release.

If a person is 'going commando', they are not wearing any underwear.

It is called 'going commando' because of an old practice in the army, where, so you didn't [soil] your underwear in battle, you didn't wear any - and therefore could boast that you didn't [soil] your pants.
