Graphics and First Person
Graphics
DK2 features improved graphics over the original. This time, the eye candy is 3D accelerated in Direct3D. This allows for more creature animations and some nifty lighting and shadow effects with torches on the walls, spells, etc. Sound of course will be a big part of the fun in Dungeon Keeper 2. Expect more of the same funny sounds and speech from your monsters, but this time you can enjoy it in 3D, powered by Creative's Environmental Audio (EAX) system.

Taking possession
One of the cool parts about the original Dungeon Keeper is the ability to "possess" one of your creatures. That is, you could jump in and move/attack with any of your creatures in first person mode. While this was a slick feature, it didn't prove too useful in the original game because DK is more of a tactical/strategic game, and as such you need to manage whole attacking forces, not just one monster. This time around possession is back, but DK2 gives you a real reason to jump into your creatures. You can use special abilities like the Dark Elf's sniper ability or the Vampire's ability to hypnotize an enemy creature. You'll have to decide if the special abilities are worth using in a certain situation, or if you should take a more hands off approach to battle.
