Conclusions
Booyah!
So, quite a few people out there are ready to bash KuF for being too derivative, right? Well, it is in some ways, and these are admittedly highlighted in the preview since it was just easiest to compare. However, the differences are quite vast and broad-reaching.

The roleplaying aspects are huge, especially in the singleplayer campaign. There's just no going around the importance of having an experienced army the field. The second major difference that turns gameplay on its head is the availability of the 'game-breaking' hero units, which can finish your foe or swing the tide should you try to get one. Of course, getting one is the risk. Given the huge, hardcore competitive following that RTS games have in Korea, we're sure that Phantagram will pay much attention to unit balance. With that kind of attitude from its creators, Kingdom Under Fire might turn the promise it shows into a competition-quality game.
