Dirt-on-dirt violence

As you can see from the screenshots, the graphics aren't the best in the world, but they are more than serviceable. They show different tire sizes, camber and toe-in adjustments. For some reason, in the demo they didn't appear to show the various kinds of tire treads available, but perhaps that will be fixed for the final version.

The sound effects are very limited in number. There are only so many sounds during a race after all, but they complement the game quite well. There was no music to go along with the game, but then again this is only a demo - music may be included in the final.

Other features that we'd love to try out in the full game are the career mode and multiplayer (though multiplayer is functional in the demo, finding a game is a different story!)

Overall, Leadfoot looks like a fun, promising racer with potential to draw a strong, active fanbase. It's not flashy, ground-breaking or revolutionary in any way. But the fun, simple gameplay make this game appealing to both new gamers and the staunch old guard looking for a break from complex games. Leadfoot would make a great gift to many dads looking for an easy-to-learn racer. That is, if all goes in well in development and the bugs from this beta demo are eliminated!
