Ballistics Report
Pros
Depth
Whether you’re managing a club from the most squalid city in Belarus to Real Madrid, you’re running it day-to-day. In fact, you’re giving decisions several turns per day. These decisions range from media relations, expanding stadiums, keeping players happy, setting their practice schedules – just about anything you can imagine.
Rosters
Up-to-date, extremely complete, full of information and just literally an awesome example of human diligence and hard work. The mind reels from the monumental task of collating the information of over a hundred thousand players.
Gameplay
For all its complexity and depth, Worldwide Soccer Manager 2006 is very addictive and relatively easy to get into. Whether you’re a dedicated club man looking to keep Arsenal on top, or trying to work some obscure Conference National team up into the Premiership, or simply trying to work your way out of Conference National to managing in the Premiership, it’s an option for you.
Cons
Must manage games
It’s a bit odd that you can delegate the managing of friendly matches in WSM to your staff, and you can let your assistants manage the games in Eastside Hockey Manager, but you must play regular games yourself in WSM.
Interface
It is not a bad interface by any measure and I’m quite used to it after this past week with both Sports Interactive titles, but it definitely is strained at times under the load presented to the player.
