The Upgrade Pricing Guide
It's been a while hasn't it?
Looks like it's time for another update, but we decided to change things up a little bit. Instead of listing the best price and the vendor for each component, we include a link to the
Pricewatch and
Killerapp search lists for that particular product.
Vendors change their prices too often to list a single online store for each item. Our old method resulted in a guide that was only useful for a couple days at the most. Hopefully our new guide will have a longer shelf life.
*UPDATE*
In response to reader feedback, we've added another column for the lowest component price we find at the time of each update, and we've added a section on monitors. Killerapp still hasn't added listings for any of our missing components, but we took a little time to submit product requests. Hopefully, they'll have listings available in time for our next update.

Pricewatch vs. Killerapp
In general, Pricewatch will always have lower prices than Killerapp, but Killerapp has more reputable sites and a better interface. We like using Killerapp to compare products, and then checking for the best price on Pricewatch. Then we run the vendors with the best prices through
Reseller Ratings to see if they have a bad online reputation.
