Introduction
Yesterday you read about the Dreamcast's hardware and how it compares to both a high-end and standard PC. Today, we'll put the Dreamcast against the PC in specific genres. That is, if all you play is first-person shooters then which platform is better? What of sports games? RPGs? RTSes? Fighters? Since it's impossible to compare every single title and every single genre out there, I'll try to choose some popular gaming genres and take a stereotypical example from each category. Enough with the introduction, let's jump right into the software comparisons.
There are six major categories we'll be looking at:
- First Person Shooters
- Sports Games
- Fighting and Action
- Role Playing
- Real Time Strategy
- Exclusives (flight sim, dance, etc.)
