Everglide Attack Pad
The Style
Yeah okay, so our company has these mouse pads with our logo on them. It doesn't mean we can't still be objective. The logo looks pretty good though doesn't it? Gawking aside, the Everglide does pack some style along with its dashing good looks. It gives off that art-deco-yuppie-gonna-beat-the-tar-out-of-you look all at the same time. And the thing is you could actually cause some damage with this mouse pad. Instead of being Oddjob with a hat, you could be Randomtask with a mouse pad (honestly, who throws a shoe)?
The Size
While this pad is the smallest out of the three, it suits my needs perfectly due to my aforementioned lazy arm. I never ran out of space due to size constraints. Everglide recently released a larger version of the Attack Pad, called the Giganta. The Giganta pad seems to incorporate the same features as its smaller brethren. The pads are only different in size. One odd thing about the Giganta is that the entryway remains the same size, despite the increase in overall pad size.
Stability on the Everglide is also very good. The older, rectangle Everglide pads had a problem with tipping if you rested your wrist on an edge, but we're glad to see the new pads don't have this problem. Despite having almost half as many grip feet as the Ratpad, the Everglide still stays put. Most of these pads are exceedingly hard to move while playing. If your goal is to move the pad, you will most definitely succeed. But for daily use, the chances that you will do something to move the pad are pretty close to nil.

Some of these pads tend to warp a little as time goes by. Everglide assures that all the pads can be readjusted manually. My own pad warped a little, it performs like a table with different size legs now. Following the rather simple instruction provided by Everglide, I managed to press the pad into a decently flat shape again so that all the feet stuck to the table. It still wobbles a little, but even before I reshaped it I didn't notice the deformity while using it. The amount of warpage the pad had incurred never interfered with its performance. Aesthetically the pad felt a little worse, other than that nothing major.
The Touch
The texture on the Everglide seems denser, when compared with the Ratpad. To differentiate the two is pretty hard, kind of like separating sand papers of similar quality. I felt a little more traction when I used the Everglide, in comparison to the Ratpad. The PMS provided the most traction though. For me, the Everglide provided a good movement to traction ratio. But to each his own, some like it a little smoother, others like 'em rough.

The Feel Of Cotton
As you may, or may not, be able to see, this pad has a nearly seamless transition from its smooth side skirt to its gritty textured center. This is about as smooth as one can ask for. Everglide had the same rough-edge problem as the Ratpad in its earlier versions except the Everglide's edge was far more annoying than the Ratpad's. You can read about that in our first review of the Everglide over
here.
