DOLBY DIGITAL
Dolby Digital provides six channels of crystal clear digital surround sound. Front left, center and right channels provide precise, clear positioning of dialogue. Separate left and right surround channels on the side and in the rear immerse you in a film's atmospherics and ambient sounds. And the subwoofer/bass effects channel contributes extra punch to action and special effects.

DTS
DTS Digital Surround has become the digital sound format preferred by audiences, film makers and exhibitors worldwide. DTS is the only 5.1 surround sound format that can deliver a revolutionary 3D experience through new music recordings on compact discs, original 5.1 soundtracks on motion picture laserdiscs and a wide variety of titles on DVD. The DTS system built into the Yamaha TSS-1 brings an exact copy of the studio master recordings to your PC.

ACTIVE SERVO TECHNOLOGY
Yamaha's exclusive YST (Active Servo Technology) generates incredible bass from small speaker enclosures; it's the ideal method of combining amplifiers and speakers for maximum performance. The YST system adjusts the negative impedance generation as the speaker moves, creating a hard, rigid cone that prevents deep resonant waves from leaking out. This means that the full bass wave power is forced out through the air port, resulting in clear, powerful bass.
