This intelligent parallel architecture is capable of applying 16 textures per pass, with full floating-point data precision, producing high-quality images at blistering frame rates.

Geometry Engines.
The RADEON 9600 XT has 2 Geometry engines, which make it the ultimate mainstream video card. In order to increase the level of interactive realism afforded by future 3D games, the enormous amount of geometric data is processed efficiently through two separate pipes with the RADEON 9600XT, compared to just one in competitor products.
