Update: 12/1/06 I love(d) my Parhelia (Add a comment ) by: Dant (697) Subject: http://firingsquad.com/hardware/parheliasurround/p... Posted 79 months ago ( edited 78 months ago ) in category Stuff I Like OK, so it's old technology, and it's not particularly fast for games. I don't care. For use as a day to day setup, there's nothing better than having 3 monitors.
I'll typically keep my email and icq open on the right, reminders and im open in the left and my main window open in the middle. The real benefit is when you have a spreadsheet open in one window and word open in the middle. You can cut and past between the two and still browse the corvette section on ebay in your third window.
One day I'll go with one of those Dell 30" wide screen lcd's. But until then, it's Parhelia all the way baby.
Unfortunately, at 10:15 this morning, my Parhelia passed away. Instead of 3 monitors of crystal clear desktop, I now have fuzzy grainy static across all three monitors. I tried cleaning contact, reseating parts and blowing out all the dust that has accumulated inside my case, too no avail. Parhelia, you will be dearly missed my old friend. RIP. |
