Nvidia DualTV Review Submission

Here is my submission of a sample overview/review of the Nvidia DualTV Tuner Card.
Thanks for this great opportunity Firingsquad.

Sidenote: Now that the uploading issues have been resolved I have added my high quality version. keep in mind that my video camera is older and isnt digital. If I win, I will definitely get a better camera to do better reviews.

Sigh... *deletes crappy video entry and rethinks a new video to counter the new competition*

='(

Nice work by the way, I personally never made a movie before. I don't even have a camera, relying everything on a crappy mic and fraps. *cries*

Dude: a couch, a projection screen, a DualTV tuner card, a wife... you got the HOOK-UPS!

Nice setup with the desk, the computer featuring the FiringSquad logo, the game boxes lined up behind. Those touches give it a pro feel.

Granted, I've never made a video, so I don't know how the software you all are using works, but I've worked on my share of audio. What would help everyone is some tighter audio and speech. Even one stuttered or stilted phrase takes away from the whole thing. This means multiple takes and some time spent editing audio.

Which is a lot of work, I know.

One other thing I'd suggest would be to use the same mic throughout the whole process. I don't know what rig you've got setup, but if in shots where you're speaking to the camera, you have the same mic recording as you do in your voice-overs, you can use that sound and it will feel more uniform.

Other than that, good script - I see what you're going for and you're almost there.

(I don't know how you video guys do it - so much work!)

Thanks for the tips, Millroy I appreciate it, I'll definitely take that advice next time I make a video, I was thinking that the audio didnt sound quite right as I was encoding my final edit.

Nice work. Don't worry about the quality, the flash-based player pretty much messes it up anyway. Your speech patterns are too broken up in my opinion. You should speak a little more naturally. There were a few instances where you stuttered that you could of re-recorded to perfect the patterns. In some spots, it kind of creates a "late night info-mercial" feel to it.

Very well done. I too had issues with the 10mb limit.
