Great review on the Antec P180. It actually explained a lot of things that were absent from the instruction manual for the case. I was just curious how you mounted that 5th 120mm on the upper HDD cage. It almost looked like you used paper clips to hold it in place.

Thanks! The case came with those clips to mount the fan on the back end of the HD cage. They work surprisingly well.

» Nice
Loved the "Civic bashing" at the end! :)

Only other thing I can think of is maybe a mention of the potential for modular PSUs to help with cable management.

Sonuva....I KNEW I forgot to mention something. I even thought of mentioning that too. Got lost somewhere in all my drafts. You're right, modulars wont work with the P180 unless you move the PSU chamber 120mm fan.

I was really considering this case, but wasn't sure. I saw the link to your review and spent a good while trying to find the article then realized it was a video!! It really was so much better than the pics I have been looking at on Newegg, actually seeing it in action. I am just deciding if it is worth waiting for the P182 update that was supposed to be out any day now or go ahead and grab this one.

Depends on how antsy you are. Every source I've read says the 182 won't be until April/May at the earliest, but the upgraded features might make it worth the wait. They include:

1.) The motherboard tray is pushed inward to allow for cable routing behind the tray, and there are several open areas around the tray to route wiring to and from the motherboard.

2.) The back of the case has two holes that allow you to route your tubes for water cooling.

3.) Finally there is a fan control switch on the rear of the unit to adjust the speed (and therefore the noise) coming from the case.

If you can't wait anymore, the 180 is a great case and you won't be disappointed. Otherwise I'd hold off for the 182. Trust me, anything to help with managing those cables more efficiently. Also, the 182 will be around the same price as the 180.

Maybe I am just a cheap jerk, but the one thing which held me back from buying this case was the price it has. Even when it is on sale over at NCIX it is still $135CND.

I just bought a SLK3000B for like $60 no long ago, and I always agonize over gutting my system because I hate those plastic screws on the motherboard haha ....
