They say money makes the world go round, and I've found that if you look nice and bluff you'll make a couple bucks. But if you have the right girl often that is enough. Let me touch on this topic using evidence I see, from the Mr. Console contest history. When new candidates appear about every five years, people gossip and they boast about the hopes they hold dear. Old winners are forgotten and nobody sheds a tear, nor does anyone remember runner-ups of yesteryear. Everybody steers clear of admitting what they fear, that the candidate they back isn't better than his peers. So we wait and debate spitting venom filled with hate, but all that really matters is who has the hottest date. As we all learned in school, being smart and fun is key, but the dummies rise above due to popularity. Every winner in our history has three qualities: they are cool, they change rules, and their girl is envied. This formula applies far and wide as you'll see, but for now just think of how it's like the game industry.

Let me introduce the players vying for the victory. Number one is known for fun, so they call him Mr. Wii. Number two hasn't a clue, but he's strong as can be. He's the gentleman in black and his name is PS3. Number three won't be ignored, since he's vain as can be. He is known by many names, but we'll call him PC. He has entered every contest in history, but he always gets disqualified for plastic surgery. Finally, we have a candidate who's smart as can be. Since he claims to know it all we'll call him 360. Now everybody knows that their date is the key to obtain all the fame and resulting victory. So the bachelors go looking for the cutest girl in town. Every day they search until this girl is finally found. Down the line she may not age like wine, but presently, she shines for the time, and her name is Britney. Every guy tries his very best line in hopes that they’ll remain the focus on her mind. Who will earn her trust? What will his secret be? Who will win the girl and control Console destiny?

Let us see the finale and who seals the deal. PS3 tells Britney that he'll make her dreams real. He promises protection, real affection, and romance. The other guys insist he lies so don't give him a chance. They say he's jealous of his little brother and in debt. They say he steals ideas just to earn him some respect. 360 offers riches and a life of mental ease. He says she'll have a lot of friends and he's eager to please. The other guys insist he lies since he has dirty knees. They say he gambles then he begs to pay his interest fees. Wii simply says he fits in Britney's family. He promises to love her if she's not greedy. The other guys despise him since he's honest in advance. They say he's poor and simple so he owns one pair of pants. He says he may be thrifty but he sure knows how to dance. PC caught a virus so he asked for sympathy. He told her, "I have Vista and it really weakened me. My body has rejected all my plastic surgery. I'm struggling just to keep up with my cousin 360. But I'll give more than they can offer if you go with me. All I ask in return is just some TLC." PC made a valiant plea, the judges all agreed. His entry was accepted for the contest finally. The time had arrived for Britney to decide who it would be. Would she choose PC, PS3, 360, or Mr. Wii?

When the red carpet rolled PC looked very bold as he strolled past the crowd proudly with Britney. People told all their friends they thought this was the end. Once PC's reign began he'd never lose again. But a shock rocked the world when the girl hit the stage. She announced the fallout of the choice she had made. She had come with PC, most definitely, but it was only for tonight to help due to his plight. She said, "this contest is about more than me, and once you all learn the truth you'll see things differently." Everyone wondered what she really meant, but the events later on made it all make sense. The suspense filled the room with great anticipation, as the PC fans held off their celebration. The night carried on and things were going great, as the people waited for the Console Debate. PS3 and 360 each stated his case, while PC said, "just look at my date." Only then did he notice a letter in Britney's chair, and the fact that the last competitor wasn't there. As he read through the letter some wondered what could it be, but to others it was clear: she left with Mr. Wii. As the word spread about this controversy, one question was in doubt, who would the winner be? The answer lay in the letter from Britney, which simply said, "Please follow your heart, not me. It's your money, your taste, agree to disagree. Let no one influence your destiny. Now excuse me while I play with my Wii."
