I need another system! (1 comments ) by: Ph33rsPhun (7) | Posted in cluster AMD Contest Group Posted 16 months ago in category DEFAULT I've built my own systems since I was a single man living off campus and my first real system was an 8088 (OC from Hz to turbo 7hz) w/640kb of memory and I had a 4 color RGB monitor, it was great playing all night long and watching out for grues and space janitor traps...
Then later after I got married, I upgraded my graphics cards every couple of years since playing the original DOOM on my Duron(500mhz) with my four year old first born daughter on my lap and I would drive with the arrow keys and she she would push the space bar to fire the guns whenever there was a demon or monster in the sights ahead...
I've rebuilt and upgraded my own systems over and over since even before I taught my second born, this time a son, who was six years old at the time, how to call someone a no0B when they beat them on-line with a lame DH/archer/llama rush while Beta testing WC3 on my athlon XP (1.2 hz)...
I've gone from 4600 PNY's to 5900U evga's ~ I've done everything from 9800 ATIs to 8800 GTs... I'm now teaching another 2 year old, my third, how to frag someone up close with a sword in Oblivion or take them out with a scoped head-shot in CoD2 on our AMD X2 4800 (2.5 hz) ...
I think it's about darn time that somebody else built a new system for me! Besides, all my children are now on my system and I can't play it anymore until they all go to bed or I get another! If I get this CrossFire system with Mass Effect from you, I promise to try and talk my wife into having another Baby and I'll teach them the joys of PC Gaming too, and if she says no to having more children then I promise to LAN it to another system in the house and I'll teach my other three children the joys of being Fragged by their Dad :P |
