Welcome to the beta contest

Welcome to the Universe at War: Earth Assault multiplayer beta contest cluster here at FiringSquad. You can join up here first to get one of 25 beta keys we will be giving out for the upcoming sci-fi RTS game from developer Petroglyph Studios and publisher Sega. Then anyone who is in the beta can submit a screenshot to our cluster and then our readers will vote on which screenshot is the beta. The person who has the highest ranked screenshot from the beta will receive some cool PC hardware prizes. The screenshot contest will end at midnight PST on Oct. 7. Good luck.

3rd rater had to give me a 1 or 3. This only holds true if you gave me an 8 (which I don't doubt) and if Kalleanka gave me a 5 or changed it to a 7. I did the math myself.

This contest just didn't sit well with me. I mean, we have 38 cluster members and the max vote a single picture got was 3.... There is a lot of weight given to these few voters. No one voted for your 2nd pic or Murtogh's either. There was a slightly better voter turnout for the 1st half of the contest (getting the beta key). I just don't like the idea of this much voting power on a single person who can be looking for different elements in the screenshot which would result in a huge impact.

Anyways, if the FS Admins already awarded you the prize, then none of this matters. I just hope future contests see a larger voter turnout. Congrats on the win. Landing a walker on a building was very original.

I got an email but now i messaged JCal to not send it if he hasn`t already until this is fixed. I would rather have won with the second pic since that one is better than the first.

I think many of the cluster members just went here to get a beta key and not to stay.

btw don`t forget that i voted on your pic maybe you should vote on my pic or something like that. (since you don`t like that contestants vote on eachothers pics witch is what I think too but I agree that you pic deserves way more than 1)

Are you sure that the 3rd rater gave you a 1 or a 3 because I think that we had the same score before he/she rated them :/
Can`t the admins delete votes?
or reset all the votes so we could start again form the beginning?
or let the admins vote and ignore the other votes?

I really hope you are joking because I think that the whole rating thing was screwed. Kalleanka admitted to making a mistake in the score and rated me lower. I don't even know if she changed the score or not. If she did, then the 3rd rater gave me a score of 1. I don't believe my pic deserves a 1. Mathamatically, that would give me a 53.3%, which is what I got. Or he/she didn't change it, in which the 3rd rater gave me a 3. This would also end up in a score of 53.3%
FS Member ratings have a huge impact since there were only a total of 3 ratings submitted... Admins, please make your votes and put more weight on yours like you do for the other contests.
If FS admins really thought your picture was the best, then I'm cool with that.
