| | Is it really even fair to compare how well a game sells that is already out? People who might have bought on the Xbox might have also bought it on steam and word of mouth is key for a lot of indies. That being said Microsoft is not really doing a lot to market games other than the deal of the week or the hot new titles. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Really happy with this since the great thing about Popcap is they don't need the funding of EA. These casual games are made by teams of like five or six people and if EA starts to push them to make the same game over and over they can leave and start a new company and probably will have enough to do it.
Having met the CEO of Popcaps and had a few beers with him and some of the staff I have to say they are great people and hope that they enjoy the partnership with EA. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I have a better idea why not use the legal system. I mean don't we have a legal system to enforce laws that these people are breaking? What we have here is a company trying to created a legal system which benifits themself. The RIAA just gets to tell the IPS you are guilty and that action should be taken. If they thought a judge would rule you guilty in court they wouldn't be doing this.
It's kind of scary to think of what could come next if we let this continue. We might as well start replacing the stars on the flag with company logos at the point we get rid of our legal system. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Really it's still this game is 100 times better for the Dungon Siege games than having Uwe Boll release a movie based on it was. After that they could basicly go find the copies of ET that Atari burried dig them up and release it and people would say at least it was better than the movie. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | While part of me thinks it would be great to go back and redo Quake another is wondering how it would be tied together and really how good it would be or even how needed it is. Sure the story wasn't very good but it was at a time when poeple cared more about killing mobs of monsters than what the reason for killing them was. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I would say Duke Nukem for scores higher than it should have. The game was in production for 13 years. It should have been like the next half-life or they should have expected it to get bashed hard. The biggest issue to the game is it was a throw back to an earlier time of gaming but they held back like they where unsure and decided to go with not taking damage healing you and only two weapons. If the game stuck to a health meter and tons of guns it could have been a good throwback that would have got more respect for what it is. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Let EA do it I say. If they damage the game doing it EA will learn. Problem is they will probably make a killing in units shipped before people find out the issue but come Battlefield 4 people will not be as intrested in the brand. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | The demo helped me decide if I wanted the game. Really I had thought I would get though I might wait until it was on sale. Now I wonder if it's even worth that. It's like every way they could mess up a Duke Nukem game they did other than having sticky cover used. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | That is playable in a lot of cases. With that kind of frame rate developers can start to count on every computer owner having good enough graphics and the computer becomes more like a console for what will run on it. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I think it's the time of the current generation of consoles where developers start to feel that they need to do more with the PC since the power is now so much better than consoles even a bugget PC can blow apart a console. Hell built in graphics on the new Intel chips is powerful enough to handle most console ports and in the next generation of chips I wouldn't be suprised if we see a powerful enough chip to handle most every game on the market. | | For me I am more of wait and see since until I see Wii U become a major player in the console war it seems like it might be more of a small time player that will rely heavy on Wii for games while to get the real cross over games might a while and even then I wonder about how they will work features into the touch pad for those games or if it will be direct ports. | | Kind of intrested in the Wii U since it seems like a step in the right direction for Nintendo both in that it's not got users running in place and jumping around and that the cost is probably going to result in less kids stuff. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I think Nintendo kind of missed the mark with the 3DS based on the release cost. I kind of view the portable market as more of a kid game machine for middle school kids with a bit of hardcore gamers mixed in. That is why I think the 3DS will do ok since it has the big games that people would want to play on a portable.
These reasons also bring into light the reason why Sony will fail. The PSP didn't fail because it was a bad system it failed because it lacked games that are good for a portable. Nothing like minute and a half load screens or games that take a half hour to finish a level. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | PSVita sounds like it probably will bomb. Not saying that to bash Sony in anyway but it kind of seems like they are going to have a device that will really cost almost as much as a cell phone without all the features. I think a lot of people will skip the Vita and just get a few games for a phone and some music. Flag this | Edit this post |
