| At least with a film, you generally don't have to worry about buggy software. In rare cases, a new title won't work on some Blu-Ray players without a firmware update, but overall things just work.
Not so with gaming (both PC and now console gaming). Flag this | Edit this post |

| Western Digital already has a few "Advanced Format" drives that use 4K sectors. The Caviar Green & Black 1-2TB drives which have 64MB of cache are like this.
Of course, said drives also come with an Align utility or will allow you to use a jumper that will work with WinXP.
If you have a Windows Home Server box though, your best bet is to avoid these drives entirely (WD Align doesn't work in WHS). Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Crysis Screensaver .....tired of people thinking Crysis is a screensaver of photos stored on my computer.
(Oops, not sure if the Shoutout feature and the comment box at the bottom are the same. Sorry 'bout that) Flag this | Edit this post |

| | There's another con that was not mentioned in the article -- and it relates to PS2 emulation -- as it stands right now, peripherals like the Guitar Hero controller do not work -- this, in my opinion, is even a bigger problem than the lack of upscaling. Flag this | Edit this post |
