| » The more I learn about this game the worse it seems We need a new generation of consoles because it gets more and more clear the current one is holding us back. Not that it will fix game play issues but at least one can hope. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » I'm not sure I like the new graphics The old SS games are almost cartoon like in the way they look which I really think matches the game play. This new look is more "realistic" which I think is less suited for the over-the-top action game play style of SS. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » I still fear this will not be a real Deus Ex! Sounds cool the actually do something to make the PC version look better but I still worry that gameplay wise this will be more Deus Ex 2 than Deus Ex.
It's strange really that consoles absolutely must mean games to be simplified. The original Deus Ex was even ported to the PS2 so it's possible to do it right. In fact the PS2 version is slightly better than PC as they had the soundtrack rerecorded with an actual classical orchestra. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » I could not Haiku to save my life :-) And I'm to scared of spoilers to read ANY Portal 2 reviews, so no free game for me I guess (still a surprise would be welcome).
It's good to see increased activity here at FS. I'm not sure when I first visited this place but it was before the forum had it's "Nair"-period so it gotta be a very long time (oh, God that means I'm getting old!).
BTW: Here is an idea for an article. A piece about consoles as media servers. Maybe comparing 360vsPS3vsSomeMediaBox with regards to the good and the bad. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Exactly where is the cover up? The rumor mill is certainly running fast and as usual it's fuel more by hot air than facts.
Exactly where do you get that Sony tried to cover something up?
To me it seems like the moment Sony knew there was a serious issue they close PSN and started looking into the situation. Once they could see customer data was possibly compromised they told the world so where is the cover up? Flag this | Edit this post |

| » FFS - this looks like a disaster I mean highlighting stuff like ladders plus the whole thing feels cramped.
Right now it seems they may as well make a complete walk-through video, release that as the game going the final step in making it easy to play :-(
Why did I even bother giving this thing any hope of being a proper follow up to Deus Ex. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Looks too real I'm worried the new game will feel wrong with those more realistic graphics. The more cartoonish/sterile look of the first two games was part of what made them over the top shooter that stood out from the rest. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » This is a comment to the CIV V article Almost ironic the comments link in the article about how CIV V was made is wrong.
The Civ V game is so full of errors it is almost funny. For example it's still impossible for many to even complete games on big maps. I think FiringSuqad should do an article on QA and how more and more companies skimp on it.
Just go to civfanatics site and see the error list compiled by gamers - it's like a mile long. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Stay away! The game is full of bugs including ones that lets you invest hours i a game only to leaving you unable to complete it!
And even for those where there are no crash bugs the diplomacy in the game is flawed. If one is for all out war all the time it's not a problem but trying to form alliances and the like is no fun when the so called diplomacy is almost random. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » For sure I expected sim like driving After all the title is Test Drive not Arcade Drive. But maybe it's just because the game could be so much more than it is.
As for pre-orders it is done a lot, yes, but that is not a reason to not think twice. Flag this | Edit this post |

I have a G25 and have used it with tons of games from GPL to little gems like the free Volvo game.
Anyway don't take my word for it just ask yourself why the company is trying so hard to make people pre-order. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Ah, the sweet memories.
For me the first five NFS games + the two special edition ones was all great (PC versions I have never played the console ones). Every game brought something new and great. Unfortunately since NFS V (The Porsche one) the series has become something else somehow loosing the magic. I'd like this new one to be like the original only with updated graphics but the trailer here is not giving much hope. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Inflation - yeah, right! I call bull! The cost of hardware and internet connections are regularly going down and there must be HUGE savings per user as more and more join up.
It's the same thing with anything else Microsoft sells. Take the price of Windows where prices are certainly not going down compared to what goes on with PC hardware. Sure a OS is more complex today than a decade ago but there are lots more of customers to share the costs.
Bottom line. Microsoft is not in gaming for the love of games. They are here because they want to control the living room and they figure the buy in is what matters to people so the 360 is cheap and then you pay and pay after.
(The PS3 is looking sweeter and sweeter. It's simply a much more open and honest platform.) Flag this | Edit this post |
