| Well, I don't really think you need to include one on the $500 system, and maybe even the $1000 system. But if you're spending any more than that on a computer, you can afford to get some decent audio out of it.
Personally, I would like to see you upgrading the case as you go up in price. Flag this | Edit this post |

| "Cynics will say that HP just designed a really cool, no, really, really, cool looking case, but that’s it."
Anyone saying that would really be selling HP short. I mean they also did...that thing...and something else...and some other stuff.
Nope, thats actually all they did. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Or they could keep the price exactly the same since there are several million people willing to pay it, and rake in as much cash as they can before raking in even more with starcraft 2. The fact that these guys haven't put out anything less than a mega-hit in 12 years is insane. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | This is a half baked idea if I've ever heard one. Those who own guitar hero 2 already know exactly what to expect from guitar hero 3. Those who don't own guitar hero 2 also don't have a guitar controller and won't have any fun with the demo. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I think the logic is that they have a juggernaut of big titles coming by the end of the year, and combined with a price drop they feel they should easily be able to beat out the ps3 this holiday. Even if the price drop isn't that big, many people won't buy a console if there are rumors of a price drop because they don't want to miss out.
Once the holidays are over and their lineup slumps a bit, their cheaper chips will have already made their way into consoles and they could easily cut the price again when gta4 rolls around in 08. Flag this | Edit this post |

| The scenario he describes is the only one I can see happening. MS isn't going to let any content onto xbox live unless they certify it, and they sure won't be certifying through piles of subpar user submitted mods. The ones that become popular on PC/ps3 will get greenlit. The rest won't get looked at.
I don't think many will be playing ut3 on the xbox anyway. Unreal fans will be playing it on PC and console shooter fans will be playing halo 3. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Its not part of the firingsquad summary, but the full article says:
If your console is under warranty and gets repaired, your warranty is extended by however much time you have left on it, or 90 days, whichever is longer.
If your console is not under warranty and you pay to get it repaired, the repaired console gets covered by a 1 year warranty. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Saying that you don't think it was out of context, and then reposting the quote again without context, is not a good argument strategy.
Blu-ray is Sony's format. They helped develop it and they will reap the royalties if it succeeds. They do not have the option to not support it. MS is not in such a position and they can treat an unknown future with the caution it deserves. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | This quote is being taken out of context. They're not predicting the fall of HD-DVD, they're only admitting that they cannot predict the future. Maybe hd-dvd will fail, maybe it won't. The drive is available for those who want to take the chance. Their downloadable movie content is available for those who don't. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I doubt the petition is necessary. They know a bigger harddrive is needed. Its just a matter of how big, how much money, and when to roll it out. They sell their small 20gb hd for $100 now, so I'm anxious to see what they'll charge for a big one. Hopefully they lower their prices. Flag this | Edit this post |
