| Car companies fixed this issue years ago by slightly modifying vehicles every year to make the next model obsolete and parts slowly becoming harder to find.
Also abandoning techniques that improved vehicle over all lifespan.
Homes on the other hand are completely different, you dont keep 10 around, then buy sell and trade them.

| No games I know of do this, and I dont think there will be anytime soon. Doe is right this is a preventative measure for the future of PC gaming. Even though I dont think they industry will allow it to happen anyways, considering the fact that developers will loose tons of money on game sales because of a multiplayer divide.
If that ever happened though, more and more people would hack games and run illegal servers just to play with their buddies. Flag this | Edit this post |

| NPD group I think just did video games to that people would begin to recognize the company name. I dont think they ever really gotten anything out of it except crap from the industry.
It wasnt until 360vWiivPs3 that game sales and console sales numbers were even looked at by the public. Nobody cared during the Nintendo v Sega gen, all they cared about was quality of the games that were put out and that the companies revenue enough to put out more products. | Piss'n away money for the starwar fans, I believe it. That game was supposed to become the MMO of fans, and if it generates half the revenue of WoW, then 300million is worth the investment.
And Denton is a jackass, anyone in the industry would agree. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Giving it a try.
I guess it's a good way to waste some time. But i signed up and only selected one crappy company to take surveys from instead of 5 or 10, so now I only have 4 surveys to take and no way to add anymore.
Some of these require plugins to be installed. I'm probably going to install Sandboxie and then take more surveys. But it looks like i'm the only one in the game! Flag this | Edit this post |
