| | Well.. As long as Deus Ex 3 remains console first/PC second its gonna have a hell of a time living up to the original. Deus Ex 2 was essentially Deus Ex Lite. Less depth, fewer characters, smaller levels, fewer weapons, skills, and nanotechs. Maybe they can save it in Deus Ex 3... but I'm not holding my breath. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I'm curious about this. I personally liked STALKER, as flawed as it was. The problem I had was its totally inconsistent difficulty, where certain (MOST) firefights were a breeze while others were damn impossible. What this game needed was a good 6 more months of polish. Oh, and more RPG elements, but thats more of a personal taste. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I purchased a used Xbox not too long ago for ~$40, and decided to make it a media box. I did a soft mod, upgraded the HD, bought some HD cables and installed XBMC. This now is fully capable of playing pirated games, but you know what, I'm completely happy with my 5 games I purchased used for under $7 apiece (Ninja Gaiden anyone?). And it as for the modding part, it took me some looking around on some forums, and downloading an ISO (sound familiar?) but everything essentially worked from the ISO once that booted. The HARDEST part (and I'll admit, this is could be a deterrent for those wanting to softmod) would be hot swapping an ATA hard drive, but if your careful and sane about it, everything's safe and it shouldn't take more than an afternoon to set everything up. And what if I want to play XBL? Just turn the soft mod off :) Total cost of mod? I dunno, I forgot how much I paid for my CD blanks :) Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I can definitely see how piracy can be an issue, but hopefully the developers aren't turning a blind eye to console piracy because honestly, that is almost as easy and in many ways is much cheaper on a whole ($1000+ PC or $300 console + $50 modchip?). Yes, bring on the naysayers who are gonna say that well, PS3 is not currently piratable (1. There isn't enough content to pirate 2. Give it time, just like the X360 and Wii), that the process is complicated on a console (hmm... pc piracy and console piracy both involved digging around forums a lot, so I dunno...), and oh yeah, PC users are more likely to pirate (possibly, but that would kind of be making judgments on the attitudes and and intelligence of console gamers). I see piracy as something that can't really quantifiably be seen as a loss. Those who pirate aren't gonna buy, and those who buy aren't gonna pirate. The way I see it, if a developer makes a good game, regardless of piracy or not, its gonna sell, and its gonna make that developer money. Now let me get back to my unpirated game of Supreme Commander... Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Its more like take battle royale and remove any emotional attachment one has to the characters. I love how hollywood runs out of ideas and decides to butcher everyone else's instead. Everyone who has any plan on seeing this movie, please.... don't, and just go pick up Battle Royale instead. Next up on good asian movies turned bad american ones.... My Sassy Girl. | | I would agree with this, and add to it that by making the Xbox360 at a loss, they are forcing Sony into a very tricky position with the PS3. Do they take a hit in marketshare with the high price or lose more money by selling at a even greater loss? Sony has much more to lose than microsoft in this endeavor.
