| | I got the same box of stuff Samuel got...USB drive, pens, sticky notes, Mouse. Have you tried out the mouse yet? I'm wondering what everyone's opinion is of it. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Got my mouse, toque and thumb drive today. Just testing the mouse out now...it's model M6880. Not sure if it's a keeper or worth replacing my MX1000 with...gotta try it out on a few games first. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Any luck contacting someone at Gigabyte JT? I'm thinking at some point we should consider sending a group email to Gigabyte's promotions manager if no one hears anything. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Good article...very interesting results. I'm wondering how many readers have the means to put together a system with a core i7 965 extreme and 6 gigs of DDR3 ram. Considering you're testing some last gen video cards, would it have been worthwhile showing results based on a more mainstream system (ie: core2duo E8400 or quad 6600/ 4 gigs ram)? | I mistakenly thought tcowboy won the other motherboard...who ended up winning the GA-EX58-UD5?
Looking forward to trying out the new mouse...been a Logitech fan for years, but willing to toss my MX1000 aside for a real gaming mouse. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Am I reading this correctly?...JT got the grand prize, Cold Hearted won second, Monk approved and Gigabyte Boards Best Hands Down won the third and fourth motherboards? If so, I agree with three of the four choices...all pretty entertaining and showed some creativity. Not so keen on the Hands Down choice IMHO. Not that ratings are the be all and end all, but no one even bothered to rate that particular entry. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I received the same message. Can't wait to see who the other two motherboards go to. I hope updated entries qualify for a second chance at an X58 :) Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I've emailed Angela at both email addresses. She acknowledged the message to her personal email, but didn't actually respond back. Perhaps there was a problem securing all four X58s for the contest. I'm also wondering what model of gaming mouse most of us won...Gigabyte puts out a deluxe model, and a couple basic units. | | I started a new thread in the forum to discuss this contest. I have to say some of the choices for winners were a bit...perplexing...one winner in particular (not naming names) essentially wrote that Gigabyte is no better than another company, so it doesn't make a difference whether you buy their products or not. An odd choice in my opinion... Flag this | Edit this post |

| Happy New Year to you too Angela...great to hear from you! Congrats to the latest X58 winner. I know Gigabyte Cold Hearted and My Love Affair with Gigabyte won two of the four motherboards...who did the other two boards go to?
Also, could you clarify how we should claim our prizes? You mentioned people emailing their entry to you...is the title sufficient to claim the prize? Our usernames are linked to our emails, so no one can try to claim a prize for someone else's entry (I would hope no one would even try). Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I believe the members of this cluster have shown a great deal of patience. It would be a shame to see what should be a positive public relations opportunity for Gigabyte turn sour. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I'm sure most of you on this cluster are aware of the thread, "So I won a prize on a Firingsquad contest"...if not, check it out and post comments for Dan and Angela. There's an interesting post from Yoda there as well. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Hey everybody,
With Christmas and Boxing Day now past, I'm sure everyone's getting a little sick of turkey leftovers. I thought I'd add a little gourmet recipe to my entry "Gigabyte Saved My Life." You might want to try it out for New Year's dinner. Just be careful and watch out for bones! Flag this | Edit this post |

| Congrats to all the lucky winners so far. Quick question for Dan...do you want the winners to email you with shipping addresses to pass along to Angela, or deal directly with her?
Thanks for another great contest from FS! Flag this | Edit this post |

| Merry Christmas Angela...thanks for the gaming mouse! Please don't think I'm greedy or ungrateful, but I'm wondering if my entry is still eligible for one of the X58s? If you've taken a second look at "Gigabyte saved my life" you'll see I managed to round up one of the original actors from "Jaws" to add a sound-bite. It wasn't easy...particularly since I don't think he's even alive anymore.
Have a great holiday! Please let me know how to go about claiming the mouse when you get a chance. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Perhaps Angela's looking to steal a bit of Santa's thunder by waiting until Christmas Eve to announce the next winner(s) I've been a really good boy this year Angela...honest :)

Sorry...geeked out for a second there.
OF COURSE the board survived...if I'd used a lesser-brand(*Asus**ahem) me and my Norwegian compatriots would be somewhere in the beast's lower colon by now... Flag this | Edit this post |
