An excellent post. BF1942 was a major breakthrough in many elements of team play and vehicle use. While not the first in incorporate these elements, it was one of the first that did it "right". I think Desert Combat greatly enhanced the game and is still near the top of my short list. I just wish other publishers had learned from BF1942 in the years since.
I really want to see the performance numbers compairing 7 to XP. Nothing else matters, There's not a single feature in either Vista or 7 that I've been excited about. They're just fancy application launchers to me.
It's going to be real hard to convince a financially strapped world that they should upgrade to 7 "because".
Vanguard is buggy, but for those of us who hate playing with 14 year olds in WoW it's great. I threw another 1GB of RAM (2GB total) and am running the game with some pretty high settings at an "acceptable" level. The game graphics are fantastic. I'll take dull yet realistic colors and zones to clausterphic WoW anyday. I'll cut Brad and the team some slack while they're finishing it because I think that in the end Vanguard is where "The Adults Play (TM)".
