| Yeah, The downwards trend on the votes is how it has been across the entire contest. It's pretty simple when you think about it, unfortunately, almost every person who comes to vote (friends, family members, coworkers)are all very impartial. So a person comes and casts one rating (vote) on their favorite entry very high and then casts several low ratings on everyone elses, so 1 high vote and 9 low ones means that the overall competition score is going to go down a whole lot. We have seen it in all the previous rounds as well.
One way to avoid this perhaps in future competitions would be to use a true voting system rather than a 'rating' system. Only allow people to vote for their top 2 or 3 favorite entries. That would eliminate the problem. Also you could even keep the rating system in place alongside the voting system but not as a determinant in the contest so people could still rate the entry on unbiased terms.
Just my two cents. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Actually I mean, looks like the winners will be announced when the winners of the writing contest are announced. So still don't worry, the wait is almost over! Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Nice article, the only thing I would have like to see in addition is perhaps an AMD comparison in the benchmarks. (Although I know this is essentially impossible just being one man, not a company with resources at your disposal,) So all in all excellent article! I think you covered all the bases! | This has been patched now by microsoft and sent out over autmatic updates. I personally use IE7.
Firefox more secure? maybe from viruses and scripts, but it is insanely easy to steal people's passwords from firefox. just look at firefox:options:password manager:show passwords. Oh, hey, I just did it here on my coworkers computer, yep there are all the passwords for his email, bank account, "secure" systems here at work.
Awesome. I have done this at the university computer lab computers, there are passwords galore that people are saving which are viewable by anyone who uses the same computer. I have no idea why firefox doesn't fix this.
I know you can avoid this by opting out of saving passwords or logging out of your computer user account, but most users who just sit down to a work or university computer don't know how to do this, and are exposing their personal information. So just a warning to firefox users, don't use firefox's save passwords feature.
Firefox more secure? I don't think so. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I wouldn't worry about it, Im sure the editors are aware of what is going on, especially since the ratings on all the video reviews are pretty skewed anyways, i think people are voting their friend's videos up, and then everyone else's videos down. so 1 high rating and 8 low ratings for everyone else, the result is the results are downward skewed and even good videos end up up having very low ratings.
