| | I'm an old time fan of this site and I used to visit regularly, hell it was part of my daily computer routine. I seen it's decline due to lack of quality content, so I visit less and less. With that being said, this review was absolutely phenomenal, and felt very much like the old days. Thanks for the quality read. Flag this | Edit this post |

| They release addicting games. Not necessarily the same thing as the best games. They know how to stimulate the brain to make you want to keep playing. The Japanese are master of this, look at Pokemon and dragonball z garbage.
I grew up playing single player game. I grew up with knowing that when I buy a game, I physically own it. EULA or not, 10 years from now, I can still play those games because they are not tied to a company support. Anyways, its like I said, blizzrd games are not for me. To each its own. | Kudos Blizzard, smart move not wanting to compete with the Star wars release in December.
I'm not sure why, but I just can't stand Blizzard. Never cared for Diablo, starcraft, or WoW. I'm more of a Baldurs gate, Dawn of war type of games fan and I absolutely hate MMO's. Throw in a dash of hate for activision and the always online requirements for Diablo 3 and it's a no brainer for me to never get this game.
Well what do you know, I guess I do know why I can't stand Blizzard. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » sales pitch This review sounds more like a sales pitch, then a review.
But I'm sold, I will be downloading this tonight.
These guys have definitely worked hard and payed their dues to earn a little respect from the gaming community. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I guess this would be cool for people that have home theater rooms in their houses and would like to be able to watch 3d movies. Then again, most of these people have very expensive projectors that I'm sure they have no desire to replace for 3D TV. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Good strategy to crack the game. If the hacker community can't hack the game, then attack the servers so no one can play the game, forcing Ubi to stop using this type of DRM. I wouldn't mind donating some CPU processing time and bandwidth to help take down Ubi, this is a worthy cause. Anything to prevent this kind of DRM become the standard. | Atari held the release of an adventure module for Neverwinter nights for over a year because they were developing a DRM system to prevent illegal copying, effectively killing any hope of anymore modules being released.
Bioware has the same bullshit DRM for their DLC for dragon age that Ubisoft is currently using. My laptop was disconnected from the internet and the fucking game will not load my saved games because it needed to connect to the internet to verify that the DLC I paid for was legit. So basically I have to be connected to the internet if I ever want to continue playing where I left of. I love Bioware, they are the closest thing to Blackisle, but I felt nothing but revolting disgust and pure hatred when my game would not load because of this shit. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | If the card offers twice the performance of what is currently on the market than they will sell. There are more than enough people out there that can afford to pay that much for a card, so I'm sure they already own a PS3 and a 360 Elite. Hell I'm sure Soldier36 will at least buy 2 for SLI and 1 more for Physx. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | American service member aren't the only ones that are deployed. Brits, Canadian and Aussie troops deployed everywhere. As far as there being internet, it's very limited, reserved for contacting families and it's slow as shit. Plus not all camps have it. Regardless, there are just too many situations that a person with a laptop would like to play a game were there is no internet connection. The train, airplane, traveling as a passenger cross-country, remote areas of the United States that don't have broadband and many other situations. But I guess you see nothing wrong with it because it doesn't affect you, but to me it's a major issue. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | The problem is there are currently thousand of service members that are deployed either in the sand or the ocean and video games are a major source of entertainment that keeps us sane while deployed away from our families. It's a fucking insult to me to be treated like a fucking criminal, when I'm risking my life for these same fuckers. That's the problem. So fuck ubisoft and their bullshit online validation. | | I rather have the option of having the DVD in the drive or online check than online check only. I can fit a dvd in my laptop bag anywhere I go, the internet in the other hand is not that easy when you're in the middle of the ocean or driving in the middle of the desert. | | The crap that is seriously pissing me off is this new trend of having to have an active internet connection to play. I'm in the military and we don't always have an internet connection so this leaves people on ships, the desert or anywhere there is zero connectivity with a broken game that we pay our fucking hard earned money for. I hate that I have to resort to the pirate community to fix something that shouldn't have been broken to begin with. Flag this | Edit this post |
