| | 3D movies with the funny glasses have been around much longer than 3D computer animation, if anything the whole 3D term should have never been used to begin with computer animation but since the "Z" axis is used in the computer animation software, it did add a third dimension for animators to play with and also for gaming. So maybe a new term needs to be coined for 3D gaming that pops out of the screen. Maybe something like, 3D Mirage games or 3DM for short. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I don't see it as a problem as long as the games are unique as long as the controls will seem perfectly natural. For example a boxing game, sports game, adventure games, rts, and rpg's. A FPS might need the controller for precise control and supplemented by the Natal for other functions, like FPS melee fight or sword fight, picking up items or interacting with objects. | | Nvidia is getting beat at their own game and it's trying to downplay the embarrassment. This is all I read. Instead of admitting they are a little behind and will come out with something that will blow the water out of ATI solution they take the cowards way out and say DX11 is worthless right now. | | It's a Fad because people are buying it and not doing anything with it. Pretty much all my none gamer friends spouses purchased a wii and they are all collecting dust. The rubiks cube, crocks, and every other faddish items sold millions of items, that's what makes it a fad. Out of those 50 millions how many you think are non gamers? Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I have to admit, I used to hate steam with a passion, but they have won me over with all the great deals. I don't even bother browsing the PC game sections at the major electronic outlets anymore. I went inside a gamestop store the other day and I laughed at the prices in the store for used games, simply ridiculous. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Game reviews are good and all, but I think the genre of game a person likes it's more important to purchasing a game. For example, the Gothic series had some pretty lousy reviews but to me I get more enjoyment out of that series than the Modern warfare or Half life series. I have rarely finished any FPS, there's just not enough variety or satisfaction for me to ever finish them, unlike a game like Baldur's Gate or Dragon age, were there is constant improvement and rewards for continuing playing the game until the end. | I am so freaking super pissed off at the Warden Keep DLC, which against every fiber in my being I purchased thinking "what the hell it's only $7 bucks" for what Bioware described as a "base of operation" for your party. In reality it was 40 minutes of gameplay, a fancy armor, 2 useless merchants and a freaking chest that should have been in the game to begin with.
Base of operation my ass, the keep is closed off for good, there's no way to interact with all your characters like in the camp site and the site is so far off that it makes no sense to ever go back there unless you're headed to Denerim.
DLC is the freaking anti-christ of gaming, we need to stop supporting these greedy fuckers and support expansion packs which offer much more for ones money, like in the old days. I learned my lesson will never buy another DLC for as long as I own a PC.
*edit*
I forgot the worst part of this whole DLC debacle, if you are not logged in to the EA/BIOWARE site, you can not play the game from the last saved game, that means no internet, no game. This is straight up bullshit if you own a laptop. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I almost signed the petition until I realize why even bother, it's time to find another hobby, the gaming industry is getting greedier and greedier and couldn't really give a shit about their customer or the community that supports their business. I'll buy the occassional game and play it, but no more obssessing over silly little bullshit, there are way too many more important things to worry about than this. Fuck Activision and Infinity Ward, may they rise to the top so they can fall that much harder. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Hey here's an idea PC gamers, dont buy the game. Wait a year and buy it for $10 when it comes out on steam or the other downloading services. Just stay away from all the hype, ignore the press releases, the trailers and every other brainwashing bullshit that's out there and wait a year. The game will still be there waiting and it will still be just as good. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Hard Disk Space: 23.8 GB + 1 GB Swap File? WTF are they doing, the 360 DVD holds less than 9GB and has a 20GB HD, all of a sudden the games needs 24GB of storage to run properly on a PC? I was slightly interested in this game when it first came out for the consoles, but not interested enough in going out and purchasing a 360 or PS3. Now it's too late, I have zero interest in paying full price for a console port. When it comes out on Steam for $5 I'll buy it. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Nvidia and ATI should start looking into collaborating better. Intel have been kicking both companies asses for a while now, and that's with the crappiest of crappiest video graphic chips available to consumers. If Intel is able to pull an Okey-doke like they did with the Core 2 duo but for graphic cards, it is going to be a sad day for both ATI and Nvidia. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | MS is going to sell a copy of Win7 on every new PC that will be made from the day it's released till the next upgrade, yet they still charge for their OS like it's a rare commodity. $50-$70 should be the cost for people wanting to upgrade or buy a full install. XP would have been history a long time ago if this was the case. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | A game machine that will have the possibility to continue selling even when games will no longer be available, hence the reason why they are saying the 360 has many more years ahead of it. I think that's were Sony went wrong, they should have concentrated on the gaming aspect of their console, and then worry about the multimedia aspect after the PS3 established itself as a great gaming console. | | The 360 does have a lot of life left in it, it will all depend on how MS markets itself. I think if they take advantage of the social web experience (twitter, myspace, facebook, skype) and make a new slimmer Xbox 360 with emphasis on casual use and max web experience they would sell well. | | No, a fair compromise is for the assholes to trust their paying customers and put in the LAN support like it was originally intended. Pirates will figure a way to hack the game and pirate the shit out of it anyways, so why punish your customers for the actions of a few? Flag this | Edit this post |

| | $300 for a video card or $300 for a PS3 or Xbox Elite? Normally this would be a no brainer for me. I would go with the video card upgrade, but since money is tight, a console would make more sense during these shitty economics times. Flag this | Edit this post |
