| What the hell is the big deal with DX11, it was the same bullshit with DX10 and as far as I know it hasn't made a single impact on any games that has been truly revolutionary.
Yeah!!! Bring on DX11....yeah bring it on...oh..what? What's that you say? 2-3 years before we can see a DX11 game? Really...but I just paid $600 for a DX11 card. Oh well I guess I'll just be a nuisance till then. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Microsoft is really setting themselves up nicely for a home entertainment system for the living room. Add Natal to the mix and the 360 will become the next itouch but for the living room. It will all depend on how MS markets all this together into a nice package. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I wonder out of those 5300 people that signed the petition, how many are actually going to buy the game or download the torrent version.
It disgust me to see people groveling to a game developer, when it's the developers who should be wanting to please the customers. If they don't want to provide a game to the PC community then fuckem, who needs them. There's more than enough gaming companies that have earned the support from PC gamers, spread the word and spend your time and energies on them. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I agree, PC gaming has always been cheaper than console, except for the cost of the hardware, but now I think PC gaming is far more economical than ever. For $30 dollars a PC gamer can download 10 games from Steam. But people still complain about the end of PC gaming. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | As much as everyone hate pirates, we have them to thank for download services like Steam, Impulse and Direct2drive. Some of the game packages deals are just insane, and I think they satisfy the urge of game collectors, that just like to own games without ever playing them. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I hear a lot of people complaining about the controller deal, but it is suppose to be a racing hybrid game, so a controller makes more sense than mouse and keyboard. I guess it will all depend on how much time is spent shooting vs racing in a vehicle. More disturbing to me is the power-up pick ups during racing? WTF, it sounds too arcadee to me and not really in the spirit of a true RPG or even a serious game. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since it is iD we're talking about here. | | The way I see it, it doesn't matter whether the amount is accurate or not, or if it's a monopoly or not. Having one company with the exclusive rights to the NFL license does not benefit gamers in any way whatsoever. Having one choice is no choice at all. If you want to play a game with NFL players, then you either buy Madden or you don't play at all, so fuck EA for doing that to us gamers. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » FS reviews MechWarrior 4 Worst MW ever? Not according the Firingsquad. Check out the review.
Something that struck me as funny was, this game came out when DirectX8 was just being released. That was almost 10 years ago and here we are still playing games with Directx9. But looking at the graphics today, compared to back in 2000 and video games graphics have come a really long way. I think next time I'm playing a modern game and I start complaining about graphics, I will look back at the older game reviews and appreciate what I have now. | "Designed for ultra-competitive gamers, CAD professionals, and enthusiast"
In other words, it will cost more than any reasonable person will be willing to pay for.
I would like to see a keyboard with customizable e-ink keys, probably would be cheaper. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I'm waiting on a price drop for the PS3, so I can buy a used one for even cheaper. If I can get one for under $250 then I consider it a good buy. Plus the games that are out right now will sell for less. Patience is the greatest virtue of a cheap bastard. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Times have changed, it seems game developers are getting away from game expansions, because they are releasing DLC to keep the momentum of their games and increase profit and interest high on their games. I miss the old days, I remember buying Throne of Bhaal a Baldur's gate 2 ,game expansion which provided at least 30-40 hours of new content for $30. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | This could have been easily distributed as an expansion. With all the DLC being available for todays games, it seems like developers are slowly going away from providing game expansions and instead are nickle and diming us to death. Flag this | Edit this post |

| How much more simpler can it get? You go to a website, you look at the games that are available, add to cart the ones you like, pay, download and play. Safe, easy and simple.
I tell you what's not simple...dealing with traffic, looking for parking and finding the game you're looking for. It's Steam for the PSP, very convenient for the customers that buy games, which are the people Sony are targeting. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Sony can provide kiosk in stores to download the games. So it doesn't have to be a video game store, it can be the supermarket, banks, 7 in elven, pretty much anywhere.
Another huge benefit for them will be getting rid of the used game market. I bet they loose more money from the used game market than piracy. If you think about it, the old excuse that every time a game is pirated it is a potential sale's loss, it's probably bullshit since no one will never know if the pirate would have actually purchased the game, but when a customer buys a used game, it is a fact that it's a loss sale, since the customer did pay for the game, except it wasn't from the publisher. | | Damn, I was hoping the GI Joe game would look a little better than this. All they had to do was make a call of duty 4 game using the GI Joe Theme. Hell, even if they just replaced the character models with GI joe characters and left the game the same way it would have been better than this crap. Flag this | Edit this post |
