| Everybody is getting screwed with this online buying/download of games. Now they don't need a publisher nor do they need retailer to sell the media. And forget the media altogether so now they don't need a manufacturer nor do I get a hard copy to put on a shelf.
So now they can sell their copy and get close to 100% of the money (some small change to cover server cost, and then torrent it). There is nothing wrong with getting higher percentage of the sales price, however under the old scheme they probably got not more than $20 from a $40 game. So when the games cost the same or more, we are losing out.
When they are still selling a hard copy (not online exclusive), they can't sell the product way under the RRP because that would make retailers unhappy, but prices are almost always lower there than they are online. For example, Sin and HL2 EP1 are on 25% and 20% discount. Flag this | Edit this post |

| The guy is obviously pretty stupid, you should always assume that there are cameras when you go to a public place. The reporter is also a complete jerk but that is another matter.
On another note, the new pluses are redundant because of the Reply to this button. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Very interesting read, to bad there won't be an official demo. But aren't WWII games a bit tired by now. Anyway keep bringing us the interviews, even if they are a bit on the advertisement/PR side. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Well Abit will be coming out with a Fatality AM2 mobo, AM2 socket has it made now.
EDIT
On page 4, the SATA speed is writen as 3GB/s, but GB is normally read as gigabyte, however 3Gb/s or 3Gbps is how the SATA org writes it so the speed should be in bits and not bytes. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » offtopic Are the comment numbers accross threads, so the database key is just a auto incremental int, and not a two part key consisting of thread id and comment id. Also whats with the number behind my name? the total number of posts I have under the new comment system, maybe.
EDIT
Posting anonymously increases your post count. (the number behind name) Flag this | Edit this post |
