| Folks, don't give Soldier36 the time of day. He/She seems to be either an anti-social adolescent or a parent's basement dweller...
Really Soldier36 give it a rest already.
And if you feel that you've "won" somehow, grow up and be graceful about it. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I'm in the same boat. I've been a loyal AMD user for a decade and was really hoping that the Phenom would be my next chip. Even after Intel's comeback with the Core 2 Duo series, I had hopes that AMD might respond with something.
However, I'm tired of waiting and being strung along. Plus considering the prices on the Core 2 Quad chips these days...
AMD is making the right move by supporing their largest volume channel. I hope that this will keep them alive and that they'll provide at least a little competition. As for those of us who have supported them but use higher-end CPUs, we've been shut out for now.
Ruiz and the gang made a horrible misstep by not countering the 2-Core Duo quad Intel solution with one of their own. That would have at least kept them in the game.
On top of this, AMD may say Q2, but my guess is that we're talking 11:59:59pm of the last day of the quarter. Considering all of their schedule slips to date, my money is on Q3 at the earliest.
JMHO for what it's worth... Flag this | Edit this post |
