| » ARMED ASSAULT 3 The ArmA series aren't arcade games. They are military simulators and they are fun as hell. You will get more out of playing ArmA3 (or even the current Arma2) than you will out of BF3. BF3 will be hella fun too though so I will own them both. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » This needs to hurry up and come out! Emotiv needs to bring this to market ASAP. They should have been the hottest thing at CES this year. I hope they make it to Taiwan.
PS: I already reserved mine! Flag this | Edit this post |

| » You keep computers longer PCs are upgradeable which allows you to keep them longer. Notebook and Netbook sales spiked in the last couple of years because they finally got to the point where we could comfortably use them with prices that were not astronomic. I just bought my first notebook two months ago. A few years ago a laptop like mine (at $429) would have cost $1500 with equivalent specs for the day.
PCs, on the other hand, allow you to upgrade individual components without changing the ENTIRE machine. People that bought a PC two or three years ago just had to add more memory, upgrade the GPU, change out HDDs or swap from dual to quad core CPUs. This means the PC sales cycle is going to be much longer. In 2008, so many great CPUs, GPUs, and RAM came out at such low prices, most people had no reason to buy an entirely new machine.
Another big change that has happened in the PC market is that novices are now building and upgrading their own machines. "Mainstream" in 2008 meant you go to Microcenter, Frys, Best Buy or Newegg.com and get your own parts. Individual components are no longer the realm of the enthusiast. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » THE PRICE!!!! For $79, the price makes it a no brainer. It is slightly harder to install than a large air cooler, but not much so. It is louder than most large air coolers, but I game with headphones. This thing should be good for 4+Ghz overclocks on Phenom IIs and Core i7s easy.
A NO BRAINER! Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Who would buy this game? This game is utterly unplayable if you don't have a PhysX setup. If you have an ATI card you are completely SOL. Cryostasis has completely ignored about 40% of the GPU market.
This reminds me of not having a Voodoo card back in the Glide days. Proprietary APIs are not the way to go... Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Nehalem should be ~45-50% faster than a Penryn and use the same or less power. That would be frickin awesome. I have heard that QPI uses more power than HT3.0 though so the motherboards may draw a little more juice. All in all performance per watt should be pretty damn nice, keeping with Intel's trend. I just hate the fact that overclocking has been disabled in all the LGA1160 chips. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Those fat ass kids in China that eat McDonald's and KFC every day and don't even have video game consoles would beg to differ.
MCDONALD'S and the dumb parents that give in to the irresponsible wants of a child who wines for a burger are responsible! I see these impatient parents feeding their kids nothing but quick, easy, junk food day in and day out. All these kids will have had heart attacks by the age of 50 and it will solve the population crisis along with it... Flag this | Edit this post |

| » F_uX YeA! This is some of the best news I've heard in a long long time. I miss the old Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries style action and I would love to see an updated version of the Battletech world. I was also a big Mech Commander player back when the Starlance league was still around. I still consider myself a member of Always Faithful (Semper Fidelis). A Battletech MMO would be simply amazing and I would pay monthly to play it if I had to!
I am AF Mechromancer! Flag this | Edit this post |

Its truly amazing the pole misses his brain and optical nerves. That guy has some serious karma working on his side to bail him out of that. You know what?!?!? I bet he IS running 3D (the dimension we live in) cheat codes. I hear it takes a lot of meditation to get to the universe tilde(~) promt.... Flag this | Edit this post |

| FS really should have included HD 2900XT tests. Its really sad that they didn't.
Kudos to this new Unreal Engine. It seems to be well thought out and programmed. This engine really does show that through efficient programming techniques you can get beautiful images and still keep the performance. I'm glad that a lot of games are scheduled to come out with this new graphics engine. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | The girl would never say anything against her FATHER. She is a female in CHINA! It just won't happen. Look up "filial piety" and "Confucianism". The main problem is her body is probably going to be screwed up when she is an adult. It will also completely change when she hits puberty so a career in running is never certain. If she has that much stamina I would enroll her in a Kung Fu temple where she can strengthen her body and mind and get cool movie roles like Zhi Yi Zhang. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | We all bought 8800's and 2900XT's and now we're all screwed (partially at least). DX10 has been out less than a year and all this hardware for it will now be useless obsolete in the mid-term time frame. We'll have to upgrade less than a year after getting these new cards....FUCKIT! Flag this | Edit this post |

| » PC > Consoles for FPS I've always told my console playing friends they would get raped up and down the wall if they played against keyboard/mouse players. Those console controllers are only good for 3rd-person perspective games. My friends repeatedly told me they didn't believe me. LOL @ console gamers. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | What kind of rigorous samurai-style training was he doing to fuck up his jaw! People eat their entire lives and never have jaw problems. This guy is way too serious about his eating. I do believe he has made it into a martial art where you can get serious injuries. Flag this | Edit this post |
