| | If I were to upgrade right now (not planning on it for probably atleast 6 months) then I would go C2D. But hell, when I do plan on to actually upgrade, it might be with AMD again, too long for me to know right now. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Sorry but your first "Con" is not a legitimate one.
"Absence of Legacy Connectors"
Just becuase there is room on the back plate does not mean there is room on the PCB. Also there is hardly room on the back plate for any lagacy ports. You might be able to get a serial in a vertical position (but how many of us use D-Sub 9[RS 232]?). Or you might be able to stack PS/2 ports... but you could not fit a parallel port on that back with all the other connections that are already there.
If anything this should be a Pro as this is a step in the right direction, especially for the SFF. If they got rid of the analog audio out/in ports it could further increase the simplicity of their motherboard (if you are complaining about headphone use, get a USB headphone and if you complain about that then get an add-on audio card becuase the onboard wouldn't be sufficiant for you anyways).
What could help them even more (motherboard layout) would be to actually get rid of all legacy ports (aka: IDE).
Those would be more things to "note"... not particularly a Pro and not particularly a Con. Becuase for me those lack of ports in a SFF would be a Pro and not a Con. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » *cough* Opteron? I like the idea of being able to upgrade to an 8-way system... then again I will probably not buy a system like that till games actually do take advantage of SMP. Flag this | Edit this post |
