| | I agree with Sync. I really enjoyed the open world feel and tactical combat of the first one - it's still one of my favorite games. The second one feels claustrophobic in comparison. Ironically, they put so much effort into the story on the second one, but the lean storytelling of the first one did a better job of keeping you in the action. Plus the writing in the second one was pretty bad. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Based on the recent comments I've heard from Cevat Yerli, unless Crysis 2 sells a bazillion PC copies, PC sales will be "disappointing" and piracy will be blamed.
I just didn't want to give Crytek one more reason to use piracy as an excuse for jumping off the PC bandwagon. I don't have a problem with multiplatform games, as long as each version takes into account the strengths of the various platforms. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one... | But - will it play Crysis?
I'm still gaming with an 8800GT. I've gotten too old to keep up with regular hardware updates, and frankly, the 8800GT has served me incredibly well.
If I do upgrade, I'm playing Crysis all over again - the medium detail settings I needed for smooth gameplay look poor compared to the high detail settings. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I agree. As long as you mention that this is based on reference hardware, I don't think there is an issue calling it a review. Most of the intial cards that are coming out are very close to the reference designs anyway. I'm used to how FS classifies previews vs. reviews, but if you want to bring new readers to the site, I think it would be a good switch to call these articles reviews. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Congrats nGAGE, the best video won. I have to say I'm a little jealous, but it's tough to be disappointed when there were a number of really excellent videos posted. I hope you get to experience some 3D Surround! Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I almost feel like it's the opposite of a Nvidia ad. The GTX 460 768MB card that costs the same beats the 5830 in almost every benchmark and it still scores an 88 out of 100? If someone is so dedicated to purchasing ATI video cards that they would ignore logical price/performance comparisons, they probably wouldn't be reading this article. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I live in the US... how do I get in on this Kingston contest? It's too bad it's not open to everyone, as some of the best videos in this competition were made by people outside the US. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Agreed - the rig they're giving away is awesome. Thanks to Firingsquad, Nvidia, and Maingear for this opportunity! This was a great contest, and I enjoyed seeing the other entries. There are a lot of talented people who entered. Good luck everyone! Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Rules question My entry is taking longer to edit than expected. The rules say "All entries must be submitted by midnight August 8th 2010." Do you mean midnight at the end of Saturday (Sunday is the 8th) or the midnight that comes at the end of Sunday? Flag this | Edit this post |

| | No kidding - remember when episodic gaming was supposed to bring us new game content faster? It was 6 years from HL1 to HL2, and that was with a substantial portion of the code being stolen. Now it's another 6 years, and no Episode 3 yet? Flag this | Edit this post |
