This is not an unusual occurrence at all. Over 50 percent of all games sold in the US are sold in the final three months of the year so game publishers traditionally push a lot of major AAA product to stores in this time period. The change in E3 has nothing to do with it; it's always been this way Flag this | Edit this post |

I doubt it..I love playing both console and PC games of all types; hardcore and casual games; next-gen graphics and old time console ports. There will always be room for games. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Fisherman:
This is actually a question that would be more suited to Brandon who is our resident hardware editor. All I can say is that PC hardware changes every few months (a new processor, a new graphics chip, etc) so there will always be something on the horizon that some people might consider "waiting" for. Again, Brandon is the man to talk to about this issue. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | There are actually a lot of adventure games that are out there; The Adventure Company publishes a lot of them in the US and CDV publishes some. The Sam and Max titles from Telltale are actually pretty good. However the adventure genre is not a favorite of mine and most major publishers stay away from them as a rule. | | I don't know that much about the game yet to really give even a semi-educated opinion yet. All I know is that the folks at Gearbox Software are talented folks and that Borderlands doesn't sound it will be another cookie cutter title which is always welcome. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Actually, Interplay did develop the first two Fallout games via their own internal development studio. Three key members of the Fallout team then left Interplay to later form the now defunct Troika Studios which developed Arcanum for Vivendi, The Temple of Elemental Evil for Atari and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines for Activision. | Just watching CNN and saw a segment where the US Secret Service did a study on school shootings a few years ago. The report said that there is really no pattern to any of the shootings in the past other than the shooter is likely male and that a gun is usually used. Other than that there doesn't appear to be any other trends that link the people who participate in school shootings in the US.
So if Jack Thompson goes on Fox and tries to link this to video games, he flat out doesn't have a lot of support from the US government Flag this | Edit this post |
