| All parts can be overclocked. Some overclock better than others, but roughly speaking it wouldn't change the concluding results.
If super-cheap-part A can be overclocked to be as good as Moderately-priced-and-faster-part B, is A as good as B? If B can be overclocked too, then no, A is not better than B. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Meh. If one's going to spend loads of money on a gaming system, one's not going to play games at 800*600 at low details. High-end CPUs are fairly dumb investments for gaming rigs.
Now that 8800GT, that's got a good performance/cost ratio! Flag this | Edit this post |

| Hey, there isn't *any* mention of EA on the box or in the game. As long as they have absolutely no input in the development and production of the game, i.e. as long as they simply press DVDs and put them in a box when the developer wants them to, and as long as they don't get credit for that trivial task, I'm fine with them.
What pisses me off is when they merely publish games and take all the credit for it, spamming their stupid logo all over the place before mentioning the real developers.
I'm still boycotting the actual EA products. :) Flag this | Edit this post |

| The engine does indeed feel very choppy, even at 60 FPS. For a competitive multiplayer shooter, this is a serious problem. :(
I thought it might just be my X2 3800, Radeon 1950 Pro, 2GB system getting old, but Team Fortress 2 and Unreal Tournament 3 look a lot better and run much smoother!
As for the server browser, well, it's clunky, but at least it's got really good filters. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Most of the 360 games are merely mediocre, too. Overall, only very few games are actually really good, and in my opinion the 360 and the PS3 have roughly equally few. :p
Once Gran Turismo 5 comes out, that'll change my opinion, though! Flag this | Edit this post |

| I dislike cost of Xbox Live, and the hardware problems which the 360s have. If those problems didn't exist, I'd most probably buy one, just for Forza 2. But in my opinion Live is a rip-off: all the stuff it offers is available on the PC, for free. But then again, PC gaming hardware (especially GPUs) is a rip-off, too, which loses more value per year than a Live Gold membership... hmmm.
Why the hell would somebody with a decent PC want Halo 3? Just about every FPS on the PC is better than that overrated game. Flag this | Edit this post |
