| | I don't see what the problem is with showing the true effects of his disease. Everyone knows he's had this since the 80s and it's pretty much ended his career. Not everyone can afford the medication. It's an awful disease and he wanted to demonstrate what some are preventing research to cure. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Actually, reading the article, it's not just limited to microwaves, that was just the initial test. Their theory wasn't even made until 5 months ago. This was a quick and dirty to see if it would actually work. It did, but they said there was still some visibility and a shadow. However, they already know how to make it better and are going to start work on it.
They said the theory could/would apply to any waves, e.g. lightwaves and soundwaves, which would make something cloaked/invisiable from all angles. Flag this | Edit this post |

| A loss? it's not even technically a generation old. It's 1 revision prior to the most current revision.
Just silly. This is to stop pirates, but they can just simply incorporate all the hot fixes onto their install disk. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | MS website can be stopped fairly easily, 1 no internet connection, 2 a router with a hardware firewall, or 3 a crack that just stops the process, who cares if MS is trying to contact your computer if it ignores it. Flag this | Edit this post |

| One disk to bind them all...
So, is this a disk that can be read by all formats. Blue-ray/HD one side, traditional DVD on the other side. I hate two sided disks. Reminds me of the widescreen/full screen disks.
It'll be nice to have a disk (single sided) that supports hd/blue-ray though. Flag this | Edit this post |

| 1. From the sounds of it, they never asked for permission.
2. Halo is Microsoft Game Division's money maker, no way they would let this slide.
3. Although this sounded somewhat benign, would you feel the same had it been Sony who made the mod?
4. What if the mod sucked, would some people associate it with Microsoft, Bunjie, or the Halo franchise? Would that hurt the franchise? What if the mod was great, so great in fact that it started to compete with Halo itself?
5. Fighting a legal battle with the likes of Microsoft when you're starting with a losing legal position is suicide. Most likely they would win, then they would ask for you to pay their attorney's fees, ouch. Flag this | Edit this post |
