And sadly, you can expect that the PC version will take a year or more later. Again.

Costs of development and staff size are ballooning.

One root cause I believe is having to reinvent the wheel every time (one example is too many engines), and re-creation of assets. Drastically different gameplay/graphical experiences could be achieved by using a few engines with a common plugin architecture.

We have reached the point where games that are striving for realism would now _benefit_ from drawing on a shared object / texture pool. Unique assets are always that, but every banana
an artist has to model (as opposed to those already available), slows things down, and increases costs.

A significantly large pool would avoid all games "looking the same", and instead would make them all look more real.
No harm adding to the model pool either.
Indeed, each game would add quite a bit, aside from other 3D artists submitting content.

A standard with various LOD's to somewhat future-proof the library would be good.

Even a comical game could benefit from this, because it isn't that hard to modify an existing object/texture to create a more stylized look. Quite a bit can be done with shaders for modification too.

Behold the second age of garage game development!

Also, a sufficiently well thought out enough plugin system would give you the M.U.G.E.N. effect, possibly letting you import characters from other games (with associated code dependencies of course).

I think there is a licensing solution for all of this.

I was friends with a parent for a while. Does having a child really alter your brain chemistry that much?

I was blatantly (points for honesty though) told by her that if she had her way, adults would have next to no rights just to ensure that there was a near 0% chance that a child would even see anything remotely adult in nature. Any activity or speech that isn't kid friendly would be forbidden.

I was also told, sparked by a article on new medical revival techniques, that she wanted to do everything in her power to stop people from being revived or having their lives extended, because it "scared" her.

?

Every radio shack I have been in already sells PC games, and a smaller assortment of console games.

Not that I would buy them there.

I received a free machine with my internet account upgrade. I have 2 SFF machines just for the internet, and though this free machine isn't anything special, it is faster than one of them.

It however, came with vista (and only 512MB RAM)...

I bought yet ANOTHER copy of XP home, a hard drive, and 2GB of RAM JUST TO GET AWAY FROM VISTA. Through DX10 exclusivity, MSFT has to deal with alienating users of what would have been their best graphics API to date. That is on top of doing the same to OS customers, and the reviled Secure Computing Platform / Palladium / DRM nightmare isn't fully implemented yet!

Here's hoping to the resurgence of OpenGL.

I believe he is referring to the kind made of meat. I am not sure if you are aware of this, and it is difficult to talk about, but myself, and several other gamers received very intimidating sexual propositions in the mail from Mr. Romero.

He suggested that he would like to roughly ravage my male body, and make me drink his semen. I was horrified. More disturbing was that this all seemed to be done with the support of his company (did they want to watch?), and the messages were somehow inserted into my magazine subscriptions. 10 years later I am still traumatized.

Based on the second trailer that plays, she is less the bionic woman, and more the MEMS woman (they specifically said micro, not nano).

All the same, looks interesting.

I trust your judgment Squiddy.
http://www.gamecockmedia.com/

They do have a flash rooster that goes down on something, and the second video that plays has rainbows. He looks at a female, explodes her with laser eyes, and replaces her with a cock.

In the third video, the rooster fellates a hotdog. He then pretend kisses a tranny... and then kisses a girl that looks like a ts for real.

They take plenty of footage of girls, but occasionally blank out their faces with roosters. Oh, and they hairy guy they pose with.

Just sayin' as gamecock says.

PETA is a terrorist organization through EF, ELF, and ALF.

They demand TOTAL animal "liberation". They believe that people shouldn't be allowed to have pets, have seeing eye dogs, eat meat, and that all animals should run wild wherever they please.

Uwe Boll, in addition to ruining game movies, supports the PETA idea that all animals would co-exist, or be able to survive running around everywhere, never eating each other.

If PETA had their way, all pharmaceutical research would come to a stop.

In conclusion, Uwe Boll has managed to become an even bigger fucktard than before.

When you decry a new media, you say something about yourself.

You are old (not in the wise way), out of touch, and slowing everyone down. You are more useful to humanity if vivisected for medical research, or launched into space to test the long term effects of weightlessness.

See print, movies, rock and roll, comic books, etc etc.

Morrowindy.

I need more land outside the artificial borders... If only it could be generated with a ruleset like world construction set[3D nature] (considering the editor is called TES construction set). Empty save for nature and random baddies is fine. People will place their own stuff. I hope TES5 will have such an advancement. And bigger mountains (erosion filtered), but climbable.

No mention of the nurse?

Gina Sherrod told the Bee that her family listened to the radio show as she competed and said that a nurse was on air warning that drinking too much water is dangerous. She said a DJ on the "Morning Rave" show "rebuffed the nurse, saying the contestants signed waivers. Sherrod said the waivers addressed only publicity issues and made no mention of health or safety concerns," the Bee reported.

Being set in the 80's, with 80's music, and voice acting from the original cast would be gnarly. Don't try to modernize it.

They are flushing money down the can by NOT capitalizing on this NOW! Nostalgia opens wallets.

"Due to licensing issues, further development of the Ghostbusters game hit a bump on the road, but everybody here at ZootFly is working actively on resolving the challenges with the owners of the Ghostbusters IP. As soon as the Ghostbusters IP issue is resolved, the whole team will go back to Ghostbusters."
