| | The reaction to this in the UK press will be interesting. Usually it's the right wing papers chanting "IT'S POLITICAL CORRECTNESS GONE MAD!!!1!" but I bet since it's a videogame involved the reaction will be very different. Flag this | Edit this post |

| The above two posts by Jwhx & bysmitty I agree with fully.
As a UK resident I know there's a gun crime problem in Manchester which is something that the church is trying to help stop. I'd imagine some of the offense caused is because of this situation.
But as usual the situation is being taken out of proportion by the media. The best thing you can do is nothing ; negative publicity can end up having a positive effect on sales. Just accept that the game is out, contains such scenes but acknowledge that in a few months time it will most likely be out of the charts. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | There's a few references to 'Splinter Cells' and 'Ghosts' so it's looking like a cross-over of multiple Clancy universes. Aside from that if you look at the page source you get a lot of references to Rev 6.4, a bible verse about a red horse. This red horse is one of the four horses of the apocalypse, specifically the horse of war. In short it's looking like a game concerned with the end of the world through a major world war. | Well there's no hope for the 'yoof' of today. They're violent, can't spell for toffee and are morbidly obese. Best to quit while we're ahead IMHO.
Also nice to see they picked out titles made famous for their over-the-top violence and gore ; UT2003, Soldier of Fortune, GTA, Mortal Kombat, Manhunt, etc. Flag this | Edit this post |
