| QuakeCon. Period.
Huge amount of sponsors, thousands of gamers, great and worthwhile presentations from ID Software... just amazing.
I've only dreamt of going, but alas, I am finally 18, and the choice is on my side this time around. Definitely going this summer, as long as it doesn't interfere with my classes.
There is no price to get in. You just pay for personal expenses (travel and stay.)
Also, the amount of people who volunteer and help put out the event is staggering. Nothing short of amazing. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | UT3 is probably the worst UT of the series, at least release-wise. Probably due to the fact that it's sharing a console/PC release unlike the previous versions. Glad to hear that Epic is responding to all of the negative/constructive feedback on their forums. Flag this | Edit this post |

| It wasn't fun, but it had to be done :P
If I had to choose from all the RPG/MMORPG games, I'd pick Diablo 2. That one is definitely the best pick-up and play gameplay. It's very fast-paced compared to WoW and others. I miss it a lot :( Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Q3 was no doubt more popular, as it had more competitive players and tournaments (Quakecon added lots of life to the game.) Breaking it all down, the extended gameplay of UT99 just made it better than Quake 3 (IMO, of course.) Flag this | Edit this post |

Thanks for the comments, like I noted, the game is marvelous and highly addicting. Going over it once more, I've come to realize I did overdo the whole community part, but that is really a key part in this game. In my earlier DotA years, teammates never failed to help me build up my character's build perfectly each time. Just great (and at sometimes tedious) fun. Flag this | Edit this post |
