| "You know what, the people that spend US$500 just for a graphics card are extremely rare compared to those that spend just US$200 on a card."
I get your meaning, but you and I may be jaded as readers of an extreme gaming site. The people that bother to spend $200 or $500 on a video card are most likely enthusiasts.
The vast majority of computer owners will never spend anything on a video card as an individual peripheral.
I think you may find even the people who "only" spend $200 on a video card may be the same crowd that would spend $500 on a console. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I was going to reply to your post thoughtfully and eloquently, articulating on a point by point basis why I believe your observations to be broad and generalistic.
I was going to observe that while Americans can sometimes be a little short in their patience for this game, elitists from outside America can sometimes sound like a broken record, continuously lambasting any American who opines that soccer is anything less that der Ubermensche Grossgesporten Supergamenheisenhosen.
Not to mention the jackasses in America who tell you they think the same thing because they once backpacked through Europe and now they can recite team names like Manchester United and Real Madrid. Even though their trip was more about getting stoned and drunk.
Really? When's the next soccer match you're going to watch? Jackass. That person couldn't care less about soccer, other than that it seems to make him think he's better than other fellow Americans because he "gets it". He's cultured. Right, jackass.
I'm rambling now, anyway...
I was going to do all that, but I stopped reading your post after, "When I think of americans". But then again, I forgot to take my Ritalin today.
P.S. I think the original poster may be from a country other than America, everyone knows that only Green Bay Packer fans are true Americans :) Flag this | Edit this post |

| | You're forgetting one other (non-environmental) reason that the US is not jumping at the chance to replace fossil fuels with nuclear energy all willy-nilly: it's hard to demand that hostile countries disgard their nuclear ambitions outright if we're putting up a new reactor every month.
