| | You should check out the Mcollum memos that were sent to DC before Japan attacked us in WW2. The same tactics we used back then to instigate the Japanese to do something and draw us into war are being used against Iran. Who cares about them they are a rinky dinky country that couldn't even mount a real attack on the homeland. I am more worried about Pakistan and their dozens of nukes than I am Iran. War with Iran(#2 oil exporter)= doubling of crude prices and war with China + Russia. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I think a lot of it is just nostalgia. I loved duke nukem 3d back in the day too. I remember playing it on like matrox mystique cards over a lan with buddies. Was hella fun to play especially the map with the fast food joint. I am nostalgic, but I certainly dont have my expectations high. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I think its funny the USA basically supports large amounts of the gaming world, but it looks like countries like China have huge amounts of piracy and could easily be a market much bigger than anywhere else if they actually enforced laws. How about you get off Merica's back and start focusing on entire countries that dont give a crap about us. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » it will sell a ton 10 bux says it still sells a ton of copies. Every game is pirated but if its truly an epic game it gets bought up by the masses. There is no way you could put a number on how much piracy will affect it. I know plenty of people that might pirate a game and then buy it the next week after being satisfied with it. | | I think if we were living morally and ethically correct than any leak wouldn't matter because there wont be a bunch of lieing, cheating, and stealing going on. It seems like the word diplomacy = good liar. Nobody knows whats missing until its taken away from them and they want it back. The big gubment will do just like every other largely successful government over a long period and thats become corrupt to the point the citizens can't take it and then civil war. I believe the more transparent government is the better it can help the people. I don't understand why the need for such dramatic amounts of secrecy... we have a bloated powerful military to take care of whatever who cares what anybody thinks as long as your being a good moral and ethical person the effect will be good. | | This is a very legit concern. Those games people are listing with seperate systems are from large groups that have the money to support a system like that. I would imagine smaller studios would have more problems with supporting their own system so all could play. Why wait for this to happen when you can head it off before? This is called preventative measures for the future.. Why wait for a calamity to happen if you can easily head it off by a few simple agreements for compatibility. Now if its a console vs pc type game then clearly the console will lose every time since a keyboard and mouse are more precise than a controller that is used with a console. That could be a big part of it keeping console gamers playing console gamers. I could understand that entirely. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Cut scenes need a lot of context in them and without a game to build that up I think this is just a guy that lives in a medical marijuana state that has been hitting the pipe wayy too hard. Cut-scenes with full motion video are very awesome and remind me of wing commander days but I would never pay that kind of money for what amounts to not even a movie just a bunch of cut scenes bunched together. | | clearly competition is what drives technology. if AMD did not exist we would probably not exactly be where we are right now. Clearly we all wouldn't have the pricing point we are at now unless this competition happened. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | this is typical. Whats great about this is that the other players are going to get much cheaper and I dont see a need for putting movies on a 100gb disc unless there are soo many extra features and you do not want to put them on more than one disc. Lots of time and effort has to go into any new product. It took time for dvds to catch on I remember the old apex dvd players.. talk about cheap but actually worked! Flag this | Edit this post |

| | HAHAH I wonder how much longer they can keep it up. Clearly there needs to be some much needed tort reform in regards to these types of lawsuit. Just like medical care needs some tort reform. If they had spent that on R&D maybe they would have some better ways of dealing with piracy. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I think gameplay is ultimately what is the most important and if the gameplay sucks and gets boring really quick you have a dead-end product. Not enough variability in gameplay and you will also have a dead-end product. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Good for all the MMO people out ther To actually have 6 different options to play through and get all new content will surely draw more MMO players to it I am sure. At least the extreme gamers will get some more content for their moneys worth.. HAHA if its anything like biowares other rpg elements then I think this could be a good chance to set themselves apart from other MMO's if thats even possible anymore. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I think they are just feeding Take Two a lot of the special sauce. I bet they made some of the game and have re-done each part like 10 times and just keep showing Take Two different parts of it to try and prove their point. I see this lawsuit happening again in the future. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I think he does bring up a point. I have seen first hand how bad the social skills are of the kids these days. Granted it makes me feel good that they don't have those skills and I do since it makes my job prospects that much better but there are a lot of things a kid 16 and under should be doing and thats going out to play and make friends and be social. Addiction is in everybodys life.. man I am addicted to some Dr. Pepper sometimes.. that doesnt mean you out and out ban it or remove it you teach the addict how to deal with their problem and be able to still enjoy the addiction but know when to put it down and not cause a problem. That one thing is something that most people in the United States do not understand. They are all about enforcement, but when it comes to recognizing and dealing with these problems in someones life we all seem to fall way short. Flag this | Edit this post |
