unreal engine 3 doesnt even support antialiasing (yet)
but i agree with you. gears its a cool looking game.nice art direction mostly 2 hide the fact that it doesn't have AA nor AF at all
(and yes, it looks smooth, but using other tricks i dont really want 2 explain here)
it also runs at 30fps or lees
+ not a lot of enemies on screen (emergency holes WTF) + small environments + scripted AI
+ downgraded textures ( again nice tricks 2 hide it)
nice looking game, but its a console vers

that pr BS made me laugh out loud..
last time i checked my 7900gs was perfectly capable of running games like QUAKE4, GRAW, PREY, FEAR, SPLINTER CELL 2ble agent, RAINBOW SIX VEGAS, etc,etc,etc at more than shitty 30fps... ( 360 framerate) and with AA and AF
( yep 360 lacks those2) ...
meanwhile 360 does what? sub 720p res like
1024x576 at 24.2 fps / 30fps or even worse upscaling the image, for example rendering FP10-32bit / 960*540 / 2xMSAA / 32bit Z (8MB)
