| The Macbook Air is actually pretty reasonably priced when you put it next to similar offerings from other companies like Dell and Sony. Making things so small costs a premium and that LED backlit display and 1.8" HDD are worth a lot more than an optical drive and a USB port.
People seem to want to jump all over this and point out all of the features that it's missing, but they're missing the point. Those kinds of things aren't what a product like this is for. If you need USB ports and optical drives then a regular Macbook or Macbook Pro is the machine for you. A device like this is only for people who demand a truly mobile machine.
That said, I'm in agreement with CAG spitfire. For ultraportables, the EEE PC will fit most peoples' needs for much less money. Flag this | Edit this post |

It might read better if you focused and elaborated on some of the more important aspects of the game instead of trying to cover everything. As I mentioned in the review, this isn't a game for everyone. If you didn't like Galactic Civ 2, you probably won't like Sins of a Solar Empire. | | I've been playing the beta for about a week now and this game is fantastic. The graphics may not look like much up close, but these shots are all taken with the camera at maximum zoom. Most of the gameplay takes place at a level where you can see an entire planet instead of just the individual ships around it, but the camera can actually be zoomed so far out that you can see several solar systems at once.
