| I concur with some points. Our music tastes vary, but I found the music to be enjoyable... at least when comparing to WoW's music. =/
I fixed the error you mentioned, thanks for pointing that out.
To be honest, Turbine had to do some major sacrifices to stay true to Lord of the Rings. You are only playing one part of Middle-Earth (Eriador vs. 70% of Azeroth + an offworld continent). They say future expansions will add more regions. I guess the reason why they didn't implement opposing races was because the bulk of those opposing races are in Mordor (far from Eriador).
Eriador is pretty big and I don't think Turbine had the time to do all of Middle-Earth. My opinion is that they will implement PvP, new regions and more in future free content patches and expansions.
Middle-Earth only has 5 wizards so a magic class is out of the question. But, Turbine could have done some things differently, such as the kinship/guild management and the other things you have mentioned.
I come from a PvE background so everything in LotR is satisfactory.
I bet that if Turbine did all of Middle-Earth, your opinion would be highly different. There would be varying regions, opposing races, amazing cities, large/epic-scale PvP battles and more. It isn't easy to convert a literary masterpiece into an online game and stay true to it. =P Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Round 2 has been frozen or whatever so I don't think I can continue. I didn't leave the round because I just had to leave the country but it was because I didn't have any time to finish my article with one day left and me having to leave the country. Flag this | Edit this post |

| No, I have been a fan of plenty of FPS and I compared Renegade to them and it just sucked compared to them. Although I was slightly awed thinking the same thing you were. =P The gameplay was great however.
It had some great ideas but thanks to EA, a lot was left to be desired for. The community was kick-ass though. ^^ The community not only made gigabytes and gigabytes of maps and mods, but also made an anti-cheat program themselves called Renguard. Much more effective than Punkbuster and still allowed for maps and mods. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Finally the PS3 may be useful for something. The Cell processor is so powerful that I doubt most games would take advantage of it (9-cores? Hell, games hardly fully utilize 2 or 4 core processors ).
I wonder if you could fold while playing a game. My idea is that it should have no impact on your game with such a processor... but its the memory that will screw everything up.
And good thing the PS3 is silent and cool, meaning you can let it run idly while its folding. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I have three "lesser" PCs. One is a GeForce 5700 with an AMD Athlon XP 1900, a GeForce 6200 with an AMD Athlon 2500 and an ATI Radeon X1300 with an Intel Pentium 4. But now I got an Intel Core 2 Duo and a GeForce 8800gtx!! w00t
I forgot about the screenshots, had problems uploading them, and this was my first review. I had no clue how to do one. But thanks for the much needed advice. This was just a test article when I was still in the editor's challenge hoping somebody can point of the mistakes in my reviews, which I agree are horrendous. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Well I dropped out of the 2nd round of the editor's challenge due to the fact that I had a business trip to Bangkok, Thailand to attend to (currently in a hotel there) and I have no time to fully finish it to my standards. However, I will continue posting here all literary works. ^^ Flag this | Edit this post |

| Omfg, Renny!! I miss you so much you overflowing pile of crap. xD
Oh the days of Command & Conquer Renegade. It was a terrible game compared to other FPSs but it had something that just made you keep coming for more. I think it was the online community. Oh how small yet big it was. I knew everyone, we had so much fun. Good times... Flag this | Edit this post |

| No, I just think most analysis are stupid because they are incomplete. They only take information from say 1000 people and then declare it nation-wide.
But I also find this pointless as most adults have grown up with consoles and continue to play them as adults and its not because of this bogus media-center crap in consoles. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Although I wonder if there is a currency system and whats the equivalent of a hobo in those times? If there is such thing as a hobo... Communism meets Capitalism to form Comtalism? Everyone is rich meaning no one is rich but with major corporations everywhere... Yeah... sounds hokey.
However, I don't think Picard is horrendously rich, I just think that the people that made his ship made it livable so they can go to God knows where and continue exploring for years. Flag this | Edit this post |
