| | so uh... when do i get my cpu? i'm not in any hurry as my computer is pretty high end. the cpu would be an upgrade for me, but it's not a need yet. i just wanted to make sure this didn't fall through the cracks. i know you guys are still probably waiting for responses from some people, but being that i had first pick and responded right away, i think you guys should send out the stuff to the people whose info you have and whose choices are set. | you work for activision or something? guitar hero is plainly yesterday's news now that rock band has come out, and blocking the patch is just a pitiful attempt to hang out to marketshare that will only backfire. in all practicality though, all this does is create illwill in consumers' minds about activision when in the meantime, like stated previously, they could be selling even more copies of GH for all the rock band fans that want a guitar.
this is pure corporate greed; two far-sighted companies would allow the patch to come out and let the market and popularity of such games grow even more. Flag this | Edit this post |

| uh... sorry numbnuts but harmonix invented guitar hero. activision just kept the rights to the title as publisher when harmonix moved over to mtv games. and frankly guitar hero is yesterday's news compared to the godly awesomeness that is rock band. activision has seen this and they don't want to lose any more marketshare to a superior game, even if it has some occasionally wonkey instruments.
it's more like, you're banging my ex-gf that i dumped and now i'm dating her way-hotter sister, but i need to borrow your car so i can have some fun with her. the only reason you'd say no is out of jealousy. Flag this | Edit this post |

| seriously, why are you defending that whacko? he almost certainly did it; it's one of the great legal fuckups that that jury didn't convict him.
in any case the legal burden of proof in a civil trial is much lower than it is in a criminal trial, so that's why each trial had a different outcome. i personally think it's ridiculous how oj's been able to avoid paying the award for so long. Flag this | Edit this post |
