Buy an 8800GTX lol...
Don't be disappointed though =]
The 8800GTX with max settings even lags on this game when there are over 1000 units trying to kill each other
You need like 8800GTX SLI for this to run at about 40 FPS maxed out graphics
Well at least your playing on medium settings

Well PVP servers are annoying in WoW...
Some level 60 walks all the way to your land just to pwn you and then they get pwned when finally another level 60 is there...
I reckon the RTS Community should be more active... I mean when people say games the first things they usually comes in people's head's are either FPS, Some Console Game, or WoW
I know that in South Korea RTS (especially starcraft) is really popular over there. However in countries like US and stuff, it isn't. I mean all the pro gamers/clans that are known well are all FPS Players. I just hope RTS will eventually become as big as FPS one day Flag this | Edit this post |

| mmm... Finally a review on this pwnage of a game =]
Using Dual Monitors for this game is a pain cause you can't scroll to left or right or whatever anymore with the mouse...
This game really does need high specs. The 8800GTX even lags when their's over 1000 units flying everywhere getting blown up and stuff...
My opinion of this game
Pros - Great Graphics, Great Gameplay, Hardcore RTS, Much more Innovative, A good new step for RTS
Cons - Requires very High Specs, Sound is a bit poor, Very long Learning Curve, Very Long Battles, Very slow and quite boring at the start, An ok Story, Feels like Total Annihilation with a few extra features and better graphics
I'd give it an 8.5/10 =]
I played the CnC3 Demo and I rather play this then it tbh. I will get CnC3 though, gotta love the live action cut scenes
Well you look like you gave it a bit of time reviewing this so it's ok I guess.
You didn't also do that thing where you rate graphics sound gameplay etc like most reviewers do.

| MMORPGs = People who like to get their time consumed and socialize
RTS = People that like to think a lot
FPS = People who like shooting people
Summary of those three genres =]
P.S How could you play Runescape... It's a friggin Java Script Game. The Graphics is like watching lego blocks. I never ever got into it when I was younger...
P.S.S The level cap is level 70 now thanks to the expansion
P.S.S.S When I started to play WoW it was boring at the start from level 1-15. It got more interesting at level 20ish but then I slowly lost intrest in the game and stopped playing. I only played it for two weeks.
P.S.S.S.S I think OldFriend is right that you covered the first few levels of the game
P.S.S.S.S.S If you love WoW then why did you write "What the heck is wrong with this game? Back-stabbing immigrant ‘friends’, Hitler-like guards in cathedrals, holographic exclamation marks? No thanks, I’ll stick to my hardcore FPS games."

| | Well CnC3 Demo is out now. Supreme Commander is Literally just Total Anihilation with the zoom feature. It was a bit disappointing for me but now I moved on to CnC3. Supreme Commander is still a good game but didn't reach my expectations Flag this | Edit this post |

| Hello I'm a RTS Gamer and I just like to ask you what type of RTS you going to be playing? Is it micro-management or macro-management? Micro-management is a lot more fun imo
(look up what they mean on wikipedia or something I can't be bothered explaining)
And I do agree with you about MMOs being repeditive. I only played them when I was bored. I reckon that micro-management RTS games require more skills then FPS, I'm not saying FPS is a bad genre or anything cause I myself have played a few, but I rather play RTS then FPS Flag this | Edit this post |
