| 1.)Steam and Windows Live are pretty much the future of PC gaming. The ease of which you can purchase and download games is a great thing. I'm not sure what the problem is there.
2.)Definitely not tactically simple. That's a common misconception with small army games. Those people are most likely playing on easy.
3.)That's a preference thing and I respect not liking small army size. For this game however I think it works great.
4.)Skirmish mode is a staple of RTS. Not sure what there is to hate about that.
5.)I didn't run into any issues other than the whole Windows Live thing which can be fustrating.
6.)A patch for that was just recently posted.
7.)That truly sucks about 7th AMD Single core processors. I'll agree that's lame-o.
It's true that if you don't like CoH or smaller army sizes then you might not like the game. But for the story line, graphical content, RPG and coop factor, and good online play, then I think they did a great job. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | End all be all is that Alma is not a child in this game. You do see her as a child but at any point when it can be seen as "nude" she's over 18. It's referenced many times during the game that she's not a child anymore. I also say "nude" because you don't see anything. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I wouldn't say it's a money grab. Adding more races takes an incredible amount of time from the actual design to the play testing for game balancing. If Relic had waited to put out DoW2 just to add 2 more races I think we wouldn't of seen this game for probably another year.
As long as the expansions add something significant to the game then I have absolutely no problem paying extra for that. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Well since Yoda left his armies at my house they are all painted. Have fun with the first ever Rainbow themed space wolves with matchin Lehman Russ. :-D
Apocalypse would be great. So would the addition of just some of the basic mission types from the table top game such as Rearguard and Bunker Assault. I have about 3,200 in Tau and almost 2,000 in Grey Knights. Needless to say I would LOVE an expansion with an Inquisitorial campaign. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Yeah, I have to whole heartedly agree with Lord Orion. I thought the single player campaign was very deep and the RPG element added a very welcome addition to the RTS platform.
Also, there is as much strategy as you want there to be. If you are throwing your guys into the mess and hoping for the best then you're probably not playing the game the way it's meant to be played. With cover and lots of "actions" like grenades and abilities you can create your own strategies.
Maybe it's just my own opinion, but I'd much rather have an RTS with fewer squads that you MUST keep alive then one with lots and lots of squads that just end up getting jumbled in the mix. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | 90 is fair score. I'm definitely enjoying the game and I think they did alot of things right. Adding co-op was a great move. The game isn't centered around it, but the addition of it adds a great, highly enjoyable aspect to the game. I think more games should take note of this and should incorporate co-op to their campaign/story modes. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I think 500 as an entry point is fair. True that you and your friends spend 700-800 on a decent computer, but the article was written IMO as a guide for people at different tiers of disposable income. This shows that you can spend 500 and still be able to run games.
It's hard for me to say whether or not to add a section for the 750 price point because in the article it does say that the reference is used to give you an idea of what to/what not to stretch your budget on. Flag this | Edit this post |

| But you said I look "delicious" in tights. :-(
I definitely agree with what your saying exclusivity of the games. Playing the demo of FEAR 2 which is cross-platform I noticed they took out leaning which seems like a "dumbing down" of the game for console use. I can only hope the lack of quantity in PC games will be balanced by a boost in quality. We'll just have to wait for Dawn of War 2 and others to see if this holds true. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I'd have to stay I'm actually pretty stoked about the prospects of 2009. Although it doesn't have as many "anticipated" names like GTA IV and GoW 2, I think there will be some very solid games. Champions Online looks very promising and Jumpgate has the potential to be a nice break to the same old MMO formula. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I agree that the time between XP and Vista was unusually long for MS and because of their rate of releasing service packs I felt that it was becoming the "new" standard and I think a lot of other people have as well. Those people went into buying a new computer with Vista thinking it was going to be the standard for a while. I also see your point about the support length of Vista and that they will continue to do so and that's awesome. On the other hand, from a retail aspect, when 7 comes out it's going to be pushed hard by retailers as "the new standard" and I think a lot of recent computer buyers are going to be upset by that because of the the aforementioned reason. | | I'll agree that it's a huge slap in the face to people who actually payed for Vista and will have to update if they want to stay with the current version. It also brings into question what the shelf life of Vista will be now that 7 will be out relatively soon. I can't fault them however for making into what Vista should of been. I think they listened to a few of the main gripes people had and adjusted accordingly. At least there's some sort of progress being shown. Flag this | Edit this post |

| It's just a personal opinion of mine but I feel that MS got a bit over-zealous with Vista in trying to overhaul certain aspects of the OS and in doing so, completely ignored what different communities were searching for. I think Vista did accomplish some good things and for a certain range of people it completely benefited them. Right now I think there is so much backlash from the disgruntled users that MS is trying to make Seven into what they were hoping Vista to be: The OS that fixed the issues of XP and could be used by any type of person (gamer, student, etc.).
Or maybe I'm just being overly hopeful because I voted for Obama. Flag this | Edit this post |
