| @Jacob
I wondered if it would be capped since Oblivion was. That's fantastic to know that my armor is essentially for show now. Guess I'll be working on my light armor thief now. Or perhaps just a set of doubly enchanted Jester's gear would do... Flag this | Edit this post |

| Good deal. I (like Orion) also appreciate you getting down to the more broken aspects of the game, such as smith scaling and 0% magicka cost spells through enchanting. I was telling my friend the other day that smithing is entirely broken. If they were to employ a more WoW-style system where certain items no longer add to your overall skill progress after a certain point, it would help to balance it out a bit. Iron is very easily found in the world and leather strips are cheap and easy to craft, so spamming iron daggers is the way to go ATM.
I also have a problem with the overall difficulty being too easy. Going to have to bump it up a notch. At level 40 I have 730 armor and over 260 combined weapon damage. I could have literally sieged a city by myself.
Those complaints aside, I've sunk about 75 hours into the game with no end in sight and I'm loving it. A few balancing issues out of the way with a few patches and l think we'll hit the sweet spot. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Actually you know what? I'd be willing to bet what others have said. A prequel. Not Halo 4, but a prequel that chronicles the ODST's and other Marines before the Spartans were around. Maybe even the Spartans before the armor came around? (Fall of Reach style). Flag this | Edit this post |

| | PLEASE for the love of PC gaming get rid of SecuROM. Has to be the most retarded form of "security" in the history of game disc security. That, combined with the rest of the unpleasant DRM, forces PC gamers into a pigeon hole where every person in the household must have a copy of the game to play. I don't know about you guys, but I enjoy playing SP and LAN games with my family and I have installed games like CoH (1.71) without an issue, and it's great fun. Now if I wanted to play Spore with all my familly members that's over $200 in games. Who can afford that in today's economic status? Flag this | Edit this post |

| Did you do the STALKER Vista fix that allows 3+Gb of RAM to be addressed within the game engine? If not you will experience crashes.
Simply patch up to the fifth game patch and search FS for Sqitso's post about Vista's STALKER fix. It involves running a small batch program to change the addressing limit in the games .exe file. Very simple command line stuff. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I emailed Lyle back in May and got a response along the lines of "Cooler Master isn't talking" but that was in May, this is July. I've emailed him again due to this contest and also the surprising decrease in site ad quality and also for Brett Todd's horrendous article titles and opinionated reviews. | Agreed with the above comments. FS has become very poor at organizing contests. I refuse to enter unless something is resolved with the CM contest.
By the way, I emailed Lyle once, got a response, and that was in May. I emailed him again.
Edit - seems to be the same one. WTF? Flag this | Edit this post |

| Nice! Can't wait for the next installment. DX10 ftw!
Yes people love to hate Doom 3, probably because of repetition. You do the same things over and over until the end of the game without too much of a storyline. I think the developers relied on scare tactics and excellent visuals rather than story to carry the game. I still play it here and here though! Flag this | Edit this post |
