| Yep, just jealousy.
Now that Blu-rays are cheap too, its not going away for awhile.
Still, hindsight being 20/20 not sure if Sony would have done it again, or waited. They lost a BOATLOAD of money on the launch of PS3 and the development of blu-ray. Not sure when they'll ever recover from that, even given the blu-ray licensing fees that must be rolling in right now. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Don't forget Portal, or even StarCraft for that matter with Kerrigan (pre and post Zerg).
Female leads can work, but if Activision's business model isn't around taking risks its easy to see why they would go that direction.
Activision hasn't said we'll never have a female lead. They've simply said we're going to wait until someone else proves they sell well before we jump into. Flag this | Edit this post |

| You're probably not the only one...but one of only a few.
I thought the game was fantastic.
Art style, humor, loot drops, multiplayer. Story was OK, but didn't get deep enough into the characters (or the corporation's) origins.
It was a perfect anti Modern Warfare/ Call of Duty shooter, with enough RPG elements to keep us interested.
More DLC is great, but I'm more interested in Borderlands 2. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Yosh, if they don't sell enough they won't even GET TO BE Kinect classics.
@$50 I don't know if they get there...
If they really wanted a game changer and to take some of Wii's candy pricing the games and hardware lower was the way to do it.
*sigh* I guess they figure we're sticking with 360 for another 4 years so we might as well milk it. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Fail.
Where should I begin?
1. Should have been @ or under $100. Period.
They said it was not a console, yet its priced pretty much the same as the Wii??? It's a peripheral.
2. Games @ $50? REALLY?
If a regular game has Kinect features its one thing, but IMHO the smarter move would have been pricing Kinect only games @ $40 or $30 each. Put's pressure on Sony & Nintendo.
$50/game + $150 for the hardware is too steep.
If there are more than 3 Kinect games worth paying $50 each for by this time next year I'll eat my hat. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Ummm...we could all try relaxing? Since we all plan to spend uber-hours with the game are we really at the point where an extra couple of hours means anything?
I love me some Starcraft as well but I'm sure I won't explode if I have to wait... Flag this | Edit this post |

| Both stereoscopic but different intentions and execution.
3DS is clearly meant as a single user experience.
What I see Sony trying to do is capitalize on a few things:
1. Co-op is great. Games like RE5 and Borderlands reminded me how much fun it is to play with your friends in person vs. online.
2. If consumers already have a 3D TV and glasses (at least two pair, if not four for a family) lets get them to use them for gaming. Flag this | Edit this post |

| We in the business world call that a BAD INVESTMENT.
Did their efforts stop the movement from record stores to digital? No.
Did it make more money for them or for their talent? No.
Did it waste a carp ton of money that could have been used creating jobs, launching new talent, or marketing existing talent? Yes.
Result = FAIL Flag this | Edit this post |

| I agree... this is really a tech demo/massive beta test to see what to REALLY do next generation.
Thus I must fall on my sword and take back an earlier prediction.
I said there was no way M$oft was trying to get 10 years out of the 360.
I was wrong.
I hope everyone buckles up, because for the next 4 years the current 360 slim & PS3 are the consoles we're going to have. Wii HD, maybe, but nothing else is going to change.
The good news is games & consoles will become very cheap, especially by the end of the cycle. The bad news is we're going to suffer through growing pains of shovelware for both Kinect & Move.
Don't even get me started with Sony trying to incorporate 3D gaming w/ PS3 & their new TVs... Flag this | Edit this post |

| IMHO this stunt pulls him past Kobe.
1. Its obviously not about the Boys & Girls club- He could have easily made a 7 figure donation on his own (quietly), or fund raised for the organization.
2. Its not about 'clearing up the rumors'. Free agents make decisions and clear up rumors all the time via (at most) a 10min press conference...which gets covered by ESPN8 (the OCHO!).
An hour prime time show? REALLY?
Just cuz you CAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD.
3. It's all about King James.
Someone said it best...even the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES interupts primetime for only 20-30mins when necessary. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Backwards compatibility would be cool to have back...but also would be a double slap in the face.
Why take it out, only to put it back in? Darn you, Sony.
Or, as previously rumored will they offer a software download for emulation? I say they should to make it up to all of us who bought systems between the original SKU's and this new improved SKU. Flag this | Edit this post |

| In the words of Joe Biden "This is a pretty big F*n deal".
IMHO if a game is cross platform then playing co-op or online should be as well.
Borderlands stuck in my craw as one game that should have tried to do this right out of the box. Flag this | Edit this post |
