Real Name: Jamie "rec" Skella
Website http://jamieskella.com/
Quick Bio At the age of 13, with my PSX and 233MHz Pentium MMX at my side, began writing for a range of new-media establishments and a local youth magazine.
Specifically, I was writing for sites across the now decrepit AusGamers.com network, GameSpy Industries’ Battleground Halo and Darwin’s Pulse Street Press. Writing gaming news and entertainment-focused reviews, I was quickly placed into positions where my vision and talent could be made best use of, including Editor and Creative Director.
Later I went on to write passionately for HalfLife2.net, once the largest HL2 community in the world, and PantheonES.com which covered all things e-sports in Australia. In fact, we not only covered e-sports events, but ran them. In 2004 we put together a deal with global event management player, Hannover Fairs, which saw us orchestrating a $70000 gaming exhibition at the Intelligent Home Show in Melbourne's Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Now 22, I continue to find myself engulfed with a passion for gadgets and gaming. For the better part of this year I’ve been spending unhealthy amounts of time amidst the battleground, violent city streets and even extravagant gardens on my Xbox 360, while I look ahead to the Australian launch of the Playstation 3 and release of TeamFortress 2.
